Best Seafood & Spaniard Restaurant In Newark!

We've been going to this Spaniard restaurant for over 20 years. It's always amazing. The lobster tails, chorizo, garlic shrimps are amazing. Highly recommended. Service is always at its best. The wine list is great too. This is my seafood/ Spaniard fix place to go.

Complimentary bread and soup was a great surprise. Everything was great. Our server was awesome and pretty knowledgable of every menu item. We will come back when we are back in town.

I visited ST for the first time this past week and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Serving the traditional dishes and steaks were very tender and cooked perfectly. I have only been to Fornos of Spain and now ST in Newark and I think they are comparable. Although a little less fancy it is much more of a quiet dinning room... More

Group of four had an excellent filling meal here. The unexpected was a free veg soup course to start the meal. My pork chop was the size of a roast and could have fed two. Very nice decor and well trained wait staff.

The food was perfectly cooked. Complimentary bread and soup served before dinner. The sangria was delicious 😋 the garlic shrimp and chicken was to perfection. The grilled chicken with vegetables was great and good in proportion. The coffee was delicious. All around a very good restaurant. I DEFINATELY recommend.

We like to "stay-park and fly" by Newark Airport (don't stay at Wyndham Garden Newark). When staying overnight we enjoy the Spanish Tavern for their excellent food, the restaurant ambience and service which includes free restaurant shuttle pick-up and drop-off from and to your hotel this is a $30 each way taxi fair that you save (tip the shuttle driver).... It's the second time I visit Spanish Tavern in the last 6 months. Both times I went there for lunch with a group of co-workers. Both times the food and the drinks were of poor quality and not very well prepared. I happen to be very familiar with the Spanish and Portuguese cuisines. I ordered zarzuela de mariscos (seafood casserole).... More

My husband and I stopped in for an early Saturday afternoon dinner (3:30) To our surprise the place was hopping and seats were limited already except by reservation. We decided to sit at the bar, which we prefer anyway. Our bartender was wonderful, fast and efficient. Started with shrimp and garlic which we shared and it was one of the... More

We went to this restaurant after a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert. The restaurant is in the Newark Ironbound neighborhood. We parked on the street although there was a private parking lot. We were a party of 9 and arrived an hour in advance of our reservation and waited in the bar. Bar service was good (one bartender), we had red... More
