My dear friend and I stopped here for tapas and drinks on our way to our hotel (although they have a shuttle that will pick you up at the hotel, bring you to the restaurant and back again - beginning at 5:00). When we walked in there were 2 seats at the bar (very small - maybe 8 stools total)... More

The food and service was very good at this restaurant. They provide the complementary soup with your lunch or dinner which on the day that I visited was a potato leek soup that was very good! The waiter was kind enough to tell us that the dish we selected was enough for two people so we were able to share... More

Shuttle driver, friendly and attentive! Sangria and paella were excellent! Service - average; took long to come take our orders...and lagged after getting our entrees. Our table was too close to another so we heard their conversation. Restaurant was half empty, so there was no reason to seat us close to another group. Poor management!

We have been to this restaurant before and have always enjoyed it. As normal, the food was great and the waitstaff attentive and concerned (food allergies). The place is always busy but this time the service was very slow.

went there on 6/11 for dinner. still good from when we first patronized this restaurant back in the late 80s. Wait Service is still very good. I had the mariscada and my husband had the veal shank; both were well prepared and tasty. We shared a grill baby octopus that was charred nicely. You get free soup. Soup was lentil... More

This restaurant is one of my favorite places. I just returned from Florida and just had to come here and eat. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for our birthdays for the past ten years. The food is so tasty. The waiters go above and beyond to make sure your food is on point. The owner is very... More

I have been coming to this restaurant for 30 years, often going out of my way to be sure to stop by. Recently, i went again, after a several years absence, due to a move out of state. The service remains first class and the ambiance lovely for a date or a family gathering. The menu is extensive and respresentative... More

Stayed by the airport and there is nothing there to eat. Spanish tavern sends a shuttle to get you and bring you back. Great sevice. I had the soft crab. Excellent. The dining area is a little formal for the solo traveller but they will serve food at the bar. Great staff.

This is a much better than expected restaurant. The service is very good as is the food, really nice ambiance too. I ordered Lomo steak, my wife shared a paella with her mother. The portions are generous and they offer a complimentary soup with your meal. The steak was great; the paella, although not great, was above average for a... More

This restaurant is rated number one in Newark and I certainly concur. The food and service were great. It has a lot of old world charm and the Spainsh menu is great. The neighborhood is awful, but don't let that bother you.
