A hole-in-a wall place located on Wilson Ave. but DOES NOT disappoint for the tastiest and juiciest burger in ALL of NEWARK! A must visit if you are craving for a true Americana classic when visiting the Ironbound!

Great bar, great cheeseburgers, great hosts. I really wish I had such a bar/tavern/restaurant I could drop into after a long work day. The owners are great. They welcome you with a professional pride of a place that knows its value and serve the local community for a long time, even if you are an out of town guy that... More

I love this place, this is my favorite bar in Newark. The Hamburgers are enormous and well priced! They also have terrific wings and cheesesteaks!

A friendly little dive type of bar with great burgers and really good specials daily (if they don't run out before you get there). The spicy shrimp is also really good and the beer is always cold.

Krugs was recommended to me by a fellow foodie who told me they have the best burgers. I also went in there with my partner and our two kids and felt quite out of place until we were pointed into the direction of the tables in the back. We waited for a server and were asked what we wanted to... More

I originally found Krugs from reading reviews like this one. I was hooked by some writing "burgers as big as your head". Everybody at some point is in the mood for a good burger and Krugs does not disappoint. They are big and they only use quality meat and yes, they are big, juicy and come in several different ways.... It's almost like the diversity and gentrification passed this gem over 45 years ago, yet the burgers are the best you'll find, the beer is cold and the prices are almost cheap. Quaint? Not quite the word. For those still believing in the American blue collar dream however, this is the place for a cold beer or two and some... More

On Friday 9/7, took 4 trips around the block to find a place to park and almost gave up...very happy I didn't. Great atmosphere and really good food and drink. Personally, I thought the burger could have used a few additives...a little onion...bbq sauce prior to grilling...but overall realllly good food. I thought the wings were quite good as well.... More

In fact, almost everything is great. My last visit was with two friends. I had their soup-of-the-day and a giant cheese burger. I like my burger well-done and it has cooked just right. Well-done but not dry. One friend had a chicken parm sandwich and the other the special-of-the-day which was roast beef served with french fries. We all made... More
