Been to several of the famous Italian hot dog stops in north and central jersey, and this one definatly tops my list as one of the best. Dickie dees has been in business for about 50 years, so they must be doing something right. The pizza bread they use is thick enough to absorb the grease, as well as hold... More

I was born in Newark and My father grew up in Newark. Every time we visit family, we always stop at Dickie Dee's which has been around since my pop's was young. Everything is delicious! The pizza, the hotdogs, the sausage. This isnt the place for those watching their calories, strictly for foodies! My husband got the hot dog sausage... More

If you've read some of my other reviews, you already know about New Jersey hot dog cuisine, and especially Italian hot dogs, which are a specialty in and around Newark. A few years ago at a high school reunion I ran into an old classmate I hadn't seen in years. We stayed in touch by email. We're both foodies, and... More

I have been coming here for probably 50years to enjoy a good old Newark Style Italian Dog.Since I moved I have not been able to come as often, but I had an appointment nearby,so I had to stop for lunch. It still is a great stop,Building doesn't look great, but is clean inside. The walls are covered in memorabilia and pictures of celebrities who... Been going there since the 60's! Never had a bad meal ever. Always ordered more than one double dog. Moving to NC soon and will miss this place.

Great spot. Been going to Dickie Dee's for 50+ years. They make the BEST Italian hot dogs anywhere. Moved out of Newark in 1975, but I keep going back. I live in East Hanover, but drive down 280 to get Dickie Fee's Hot Dogs rather than around the corner to get Buff's. NO COMPARISON ! DICKIE DEE'S IS WAY BETTER... More

Whenever I have gone to Dicky Dee's, I have always been treated with respect. These people are usually very busy....especially during the lunch hour. They really don't have time to socialize with you, and that's not what they're there for. Their Hotdogs and Sausage are undisputably, the best....that's what I go there for!!

This place is Well known ALL OVER New Jersey and it is because of THE BEST HOT DOG'S in " Jersey" . At the sad thing is that the people that run it Act as if they don't need to treat you right! Remember "The soup Nazi" on Seinfeld? Same treatment. If you aren't a " Cute " lady don't... More
