The Italian hot dog is covered with fried potatoes and onions / peppers so deep you need a fork to eat it. The bread is totally fresh. The customers lined up for food is... More

This is the place to get the real deal. The authentic Italian Hot Dog. Other's may have been first others may be good, but Dickie Dee's is clearly the best. Italian Hot Dog or Italian Sausage sandwich you can't go wrong.

Back when I was younger, I could pound down a couple of doubles with no problems. No I limit myself to 1 on m random (once or twice a year) visits. The pizza is good, the sausage sandwiches are as well, but this place is all about the Italian hotdogs. Fun to watch them make, a party in your mouth... More

An excellent place for lunch. Awesome Italian dogs and other tasty sandwiches make Dickie Dee's one of my favorite places for lunch. Also, the owner and his son are very friendly .

My wife was watching a program on the Food Network and the segment discussed Italian hot dogs and.....Dickie Dee's in Newark. I worked in Newark many years ago and Dickie Dee's was a regular monthly stop for me and several co-workers. I told her how great the "dogs" were and she indicated that she would love to try one. So....today... More

I had the opportunity to stop at Dickie Dee's with my wife and her friend. When asked where to get an "Italian hot dog" it was a no-brainer. As someone who grew up near Newark and still have many friends in the area and loves these delights we stopped by. The dogs were spot on and impressed the new comers... More
