Come hungry

The paella was tasty and could honestly feed 2-3 people. The bread is great for sopping up the delicious seafood juices. If you're a beer drinker, you can wash down your meal with a bottle of Mahou.

I would suggest you steer clear of this restaurant...the quality of the food is simply NOT GOOD anymore. Too bad because years ago it was the only reason you would come to Newark....now I have NO REASON to come to Newark....not even to see the Devils now that Lou is gone!

I've been patronizing Spain for 20+ years and have done eat in and take out over a dozen times. Unfortunately, the owners are taking their eye off the ball and things are slipping. During my most recent visit I had my favorite - the Paella a la Marinera. The dish was obviously prepared ahead of time and the split lobster... More

The food is not strictly Portuguese they seem to be adapted or Americanized a bit, ie no Cod dishes, but Tiliapia. Seafood entrees were well executed and portions were large. Service is friendly and efficient and can provide recommendations. There is Street Parking, but crowded for Devils Games at the Rock. Good pre-Game sit down meal option.

We've been going there for over twenty years, it's not as busy as it used to be and the décor is very dated but we know that. We go there for the food which is outstanding, I believe most of the team has been there since I first started going. While in school we would venture there and have the... More

Im rember that this place was, at least in the past, an awesome place for dinner. So, I was anxious to return to it after so many years. Parking was convieniently accros the street & empty when we arrived. The area made me somewhat uncomfortable, I must admit. We were a group of four & as such we were seated... More

We lived in Madrid for three years and felt the food in Spain was the best in Europe. Spain Restaurant came so close to the real thing and we were pleasantly surprised. One of us had the Spanish omelet (tortilla Espanol). It looked absolutely authentic. I started with the gazpacho. It was authentic and delicious. I even tore my bread... More
