Fun and Funky; Great Food with Big Portions

Four of us went on a Saturday night in September 2015. Our friends had been many times before and were surprised that it was less than half full. Nice menu choices - meat and fish. Large portions, attentive service, old-fashioned waiters. There was a guitar-playing singer who did the... read more

I've been coming to Spain restaurant for 10 years now and they never disappoint. The best paella and sangria I've ever had. If you are from out of town and never had spaniard food before because it's too expensive in your area... You must come here. Last night I had their special: grilled seafood... And oh my God I died... More

The paella was tasty and could honestly feed 2-3 people. The bread is great for sopping up the delicious seafood juices. If you're a beer drinker, you can wash down your meal with a bottle of Mahou.

I would suggest you steer clear of this restaurant...the quality of the food is simply NOT GOOD anymore. Too bad because years ago it was the only reason you would come to Newark....now I have NO REASON to come to Newark....not even to see the Devils now that Lou is gone!

I've been patronizing Spain for 20+ years and have done eat in and take out over a dozen times. Unfortunately, the owners are taking their eye off the ball and things are slipping. During my most recent visit I had my favorite - the Paella a la Marinera. The dish was obviously prepared ahead of time and the split lobster... More

The food is not strictly Portuguese they seem to be adapted or Americanized a bit, ie no Cod dishes, but Tiliapia. Seafood entrees were well executed and portions were large. Service is friendly and efficient and can provide recommendations. There is Street Parking, but crowded for Devils Games at the Rock. Good pre-Game sit down meal option.

We've been going there for over twenty years, it's not as busy as it used to be and the décor is very dated but we know that. We go there for the food which is outstanding, I believe most of the team has been there since I first started going. While in school we would venture there and have the... More
