Im rember that this place was, at least in the past, an awesome place for dinner. So, I was anxious to return to it after so many years. Parking was convieniently accros the street & empty when we arrived. The area made me somewhat uncomfortable, I must admit. We were a group of four & as such we were seated... More

We lived in Madrid for three years and felt the food in Spain was the best in Europe. Spain Restaurant came so close to the real thing and we were pleasantly surprised. One of us had the Spanish omelet (tortilla Espanol). It looked absolutely authentic. I started with the gazpacho. It was authentic and delicious. I even tore my bread... More

Great dishes from an extensive menu. The restaurant may be small but they make up for it with attentive service and portions that are sure to fill up the hungriest eater. Many times I've ordered food to go and have never been disappointed. Traditional dishes and a great variety that satisfies any patron.

I have been to this restaurant about 15 times over the course of the last 30 years but I have not been here for at least 5 years. When a group of us found ourselves close to Newark for the evening I was excited to go back. We were not disappointed. Eight of us had sangria and eight different entrees.... More

My husband had been to this restaurant last year after a Red Bulls game. He sat at the bar and shared a few apps with friends. He came home raving about the place…in hind sight, I think the alcohol consumption at the game may have clouded his view ;) We went this past Saturday night with our two girls. We... More

I just went to Spain for the second time. My wife and I had been once before with friends, and had a fantastic experience. Great food, huge portions, good variety on the menu, friendly service at the table and at the bar. So I went back, this time with business clients who are also friends. We availed ourselves of the... We went to Spain last night. It's convenient from the train station and my husband said it had had a good reputation. The atmosphere felt authentically Ironbound, the service was attentive, but the food .... was terrible. Maybe it was an off night on a Tuesday, but the stuffed salmon arrived at the table with a walker and a DNR.... More

I recently moved to the Iron-bound section of Newark. My sons helped with the move and I wanted to take them out to dinner once we were all settled in my new place. Spain was recommended to me by a local friend and she was right on point. I ordered the Seafood Paella and not only was the portion large... More

Spain, has been a favorite of everyone I know in Jersey! Very helpful staff without being in your face. The food has always been great and full of flavor. Always fresh and always great. One of the first restaurants I went to when I moved back up north. Enjoy, I have for years!!!
