We have been going there for 20 years and it continues to be on of the best attractions in Newark's Ironbound area. The seafood paella is very good (and a large portion as well),as is the Shrimp in Green Sauce. Two members of the party y shared a 3 1/2 pound boiled lobster that they raved about. Other items are... PRICEY good food -- a bottled beer miller was 6.50 Food was excellent don't get me wrong but the prices are high u and Waiter had no personality. Lobster was phenomenally cooked. Spanish omelette was superb. Bartender great personality. won't go running back ONLY due to prices :(. Excellent atmosphere.

You get what you pay for. Sure its expensive, but its the best meal in Newark hands down. Sangria is fantanstic and strong. Every meal I have had here is great. Service is top notch. Great special day place. Wish I could afford to come more often.

We visited Forno's for my mother-in-laws 82nd birthday. We arrived early in the evening so the restaurant was not packed with patrons. The parking attendant helped us with the parking as my mother in law has to be extremely careful walking. We were quickly seated in a nicely appointed room. We overheard a waiter at another table describing the specials... More

We visited Fornos recently after being there many times before. The greeter seemed to be doing us a favor to seat us. The waiter was quick and impersonal. The salad was freshly made, tasty and appealing , the bread average. I ordered broiled fish which was nothing special and a bit overdone for my taste. The meal was accompanied by:... More

I'm not sure I have ever had so much food delivered to my table that I didn't order. Before I placed my order, there was an amazing salad and bread on the table. I enjoyed the salad, the halibut was very fresh and finished with the Tres Leches cake. All the food was good and the wine service was very... More

Visited Fornos with my wife and mother-in-law, who is handicapped. good accessibility - ramp from the rear parking lot and the restrooms were fine. They started us off as soon as we sat down with a magnificent salad - plenty of greens, red onions, hearts of palm, olives and dressed perfectly. The salad was served family style, with plenty for... We went here to celebrate mothers 87 th birthday with two other 80 year old parents. Reservations accepted, off street partaking, courteous staff, good food. The salad is 'free' but don't kid yourself the entree prices are high and make up for it. Cheapest meal at out table was $20,, most expensive was $32. All the food good, but none... More

I visited this restaurant twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. They provide complementary bread, a salad, and a serving of olives all for the table to share. Be careful not to order too much food as servings can be large and everything else is already included. The location can be misleading when seen from the street. Drive around... More

when we want a gr8 meal in the ironbound section of Newark, we go to fornos because we never tire of it. I especially like the yellow rice, paella, fish, chicken dishes. you name it, we've had it and like it. it has been decades since we started going to fornos and they have consistently been serving delicious food.
