The food is great but the drinks and the appetizers are way to expensive. I would go elsewhere for similar food at a much less cost.

We went to dinner early at 5:30pm on a Wednesday . By the time we left at 7:30, the whole restaurant was packed. The service was amazing! You sit down and you get fresh bread, butter, oil, olives and a great salad. For the appetizer we had the octopus ( pulpo) grilled in olive oil. It was fabulous. One of... More

My husband and I have dined in hundreds of restaurants and as a business woman myself, I put customer service above all. This restaurant is managed well and you will not be disappointed. You are waited on from the moment you arrive, with a server who makes sure your water glass does not go below half. From the appetizers, to... More

When in Newark try this restaurant, modestly priced ,good portions, lots of choices. The NJPAC is about 3 blocks away, train and bus station one block and there is plenty of free parking. The neighborhood is safe well lit and there is a great deal of attention meted out to you and your table. The bar is well stocked and... More

Great food and great service. And they are fast and friendly. Paella Valenciana is my favorite dish at that restaurant and we frequent this restaurant often

The decor is nice. The service is spectacular. The menu is comprehensive and varied. The portions are copious. The food is delicious. Fornos is simply one of my favorite restaurants on the planet.

9:30pm,driving home from NYC ,and wanted fresh coffee and dessert. Visited Fornos, and sat in the bar area. We ordered coffee and dessert, and both were excellent. The coffee was strong and robust. The desserts, lava cake, and pecan piewere delightful. Great atmosphere and very informed staff. Definitely worth it for coffee and dessert.

They don't take reservations, so after the TSO concert at PNC we had to wait. They told us 45 minutes but it was more like a 75 minute wait. Everyone was starving. I think mgmt understands that people are hungry and as soon as we sat down, we were given bread and butter. Food was excellent, portions are large. Been... More

What a great meal for a first timer at this restaurant. Had a wonderful meal here in early December on a Monday night. really enjoyed the shrimp appetizer and the paella. More than enough to share for two people. Would go back for dinner when again in Newark. On the pricey side but worth it.

My husband and I went to a private party at this restaurant tonight and we were blown away! Not only was the food delicious, each person's serving was enough for three. Everyone in the party had to take a doggy bag home with them. And the restaurant was prepared for that. The staff was extremely helpful to everyone and attentive.... More
