A real gem in the Ironbound district

We have eaten here with friends a dozen or more times over the past 3 years and we plan on going back again and again! Family run, fabulous food and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and attentive and they have a parking lot which is a real plus! If you're not sure where to eat tonight... read more

Paella at its best. There's no more to add, get the paella, will not disappoint. Trip advisor is making add more details, paella, sangria and some dessert made this meal definitely memorable. The staff was accommodating as we had a large group. Another visit, we had 2 young children with us, and again they were accommodating.

The portions were large, the staff was friendly, the food was very rich, tasty and good. Not fine dining, good family, filling fun. My wife and three daughters were in a rush to get to the soccer game. This restaurant was highly recommended. I think portion size is a major factor in people loving this place. Two daughters had the... More

I hadn't been to Casa Vasca in years and when friends wanted to go to the Iron Bound district in Newark, I suggested we go there. My husband and I had marescada in green sauce , one friend had stuffed lobster and another had paella. We all found out food disappointing, not very tasty with the seafood overlcooked. The house... Excellent service/waitstaff. Great food- outstanding Portuguese rolls- fresh!! I had the Paella Marinera. For 20-bucks- it was pretty good. It was loaded with mussels, shrimp, clams, half of a small Maine lobster and a few scallops with lots of saffron rice. I was with a party of 9 and the waitstaff kept right up and timing was perfect on all... More

My husband and I visited Casa Vasca last night to celebrate our anniversary. First off, the parking situation was not ideal. Parking is about half a block away from the entrance and when we arrived at 6:30 pm, there was no parking attendant. We entered the establishment through a tiny bar area with 2 or 3 tables for dining and... More

Have been to Casa Vasca several times. The food is always very good, and authentic. The fried potatoes are just delish. They always start your meal with a soup. I love that part of the meal. The soups are so good. Visit Casa Vasca. You will love it. But beware, on the weekends you could have a wait. We try... More

We all enjoyed our meals very much. The seafood was so fresh and tasty, portions generous and very friendly service. This is a neighborhood, home cooking place to eat.

I love Spanish food. This restaurant excels. The food is just so good. They have my favorite dish marascada in green sauce. A pot of seafood mussels, clams, lobster, scallops, and shrimp, in the best green sauce ever. Home made potato chips, and sangria. What a great deal, not expensive. Truly delicious. I can't wait to go back.
