My wife and I and our grandson ate here before a Red Bulls game. At 4 PM on a Saturday they were busy. Wonderful service. Great soup and meals. Delicious Portuguese cuisine. Parking lot. Easy access to Red Bulls stadium. Definitely will go back before a NJPAC performance.

I've coming there for 20 years. The food is alway outstanding and the prices are great. The best sangria in my opinion. The service is always excellent.

I am fortunate to bounce in and out of New Jersey a few times each year. My first order of business is always food and Casa Vasca is always my Down Neck favorite. The Basque region of Spain has done us well. The best of the best according to me: Garlic Shrimp, Salt Cod, Stuffed Scallops w/ crab, Chippy Potatoes,... More

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was very welcoming and felt like it was eating at someone's home.

This is the kind of Newark restaurant that I measure the others against. Locally owned. They care about food. Cozy. Affordable for wine and food, Have never had a bad experience there.

Casa Vasca has been 'a must' for me for 25+ years. Secure parking is a plus and its well priced. We often try to choose among the many options in the Ironbound but somehow end up at CV's. The competition is very good, however, CV is standing still while others are moving forward. Perhaps it is in its retreat era... More

This gem is older than us and oozes warmth, tradition and great Portuguese food. It remains astounding that the owners still remember all the menu items and the specials and your names, after many years. This restaurant is in the heart of the Latino part of newark. The food remains true to its heritage and yet up to date. Although... More

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed an early dinner before attending the P!ink concert at the Prudential Center. As the dining room was unavailable due to a large party reservation, we were able to eat in the "bar" area, and it was great! We agreed that we probably had a better time than had we been in the dining room.... More
