Been coming to this restaurant for years off and on. This last time was sadly disappointing. They have always been a bit irregular, sometimes great sometimes not-so-much. Was about to give up but gave them one more try in the fall. There was a nice young man it seemed running the place and that night the service and the food... More

We decided to be adventurous when dining at this restaurant. All four patrons were really glad that we tried dishes we cannot normally get. Calamares A La Romana was not battered and deep fried. The squid was amazing. Camarones Enchilados was just 16.00! The shrimp in spicy tomato sauce with onions and peppers were fresh and not overcooked. Filete De... More

I went on a dinner date with my wife. I ordered a rabbit dinner and my wife ordered a pulpo squid. The food was prepared excellently and the service was superb. This restaurant has a warm family style atmosphere. The waitstaff was very attentive to everyone's needs. I'll definitely suggest and will be coming back.

Went for the first time a couple of days ago. While walking from the free parking lot to the restaurant, the aroma in the street from the kitchen was the first indicator that we were going to be happy with our meals. Everything exceeded our expectations. Sauces were so good, we went through two bread bowls sopping it all up.... More

Casa Vasca has been one of our Go-to restaurants when we are in Newark. Unfortunately that will no longer be the case. We were there yesterday evening (Saturday 11/28). The restaurant was crowded, but it always is on a Saturday. Service was terribly slow; they brought the wrong entry to my wife and after they corrected that-they didn't bring her... More

This is my favorite restaurant in the Ironbound. Delicious food and friendly casual atmosphere. Each meal starts with soup which I always enjoy. Then one of the best paellas and red sangria. The only negative is the parking. The restaurant has a very small parking lot that fills up on weekends and street parking can be impossible to find. Best... More

if you like spanish cuisine, the food here is second to none and the sangria is the best around. it's a family owned and operated establishment - and that shines through in every aspect. the service is great, the owners are incredibly kind, gracious and inviting. and the food is simply amazing!

Nice quiet romantic restaurant you can bring your significant other to enjoy a fantastic delicious meal. One of my favorite places to dine in Downneck Newark.
