Excellent food, service and value. This was our second visit (we were introduced by friends) and we will certainly be back.

I love Spanish food. This restaurant excels. The food is just so good. They have my favorite dish marascada in green sauce. A pot of seafood mussels, clams, lobster, scallops, and shrimp, in the best green sauce ever. Home made potato chips, and sangria. What a great deal, not expensive. Truly delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Wow. By accident we found this place. I am used to Forno's and Spanish Tavern, and Very happy we ate here instead. I admit that I am unsure about telling everyone about Casa Vasca, because I may have a long wait next time I go! It is smaller than Forno's and parking is not as easy. It is definitely more... More

My wife and I were headed to see the NJ Devils play hockey and we wanted dinner outside the arena. We heard good things about Casa Vasca. GPS helped locate this neighborhood eatery. They have their own free, attended parking lot. The restaurant is small, but spacious. It is immaculate. The wait staff is superb. The meal started with red... More

Casa Vasca is a backstreet gem away from the usual tourist promoted restaurants in the Ironbound section of Newark. The food is always cooked to order and if you don't see it on the menu, just ask and it will be made. The waiters are men from another era back in Portugal who serve you with a smile and are... I often go here with my family when heading to a concert or the airport. The service is always great. The sangria was delicious and the food wasn't half bad either.

Barely a 3* / It maybe excellent to new/occasional reviewers but this writer is once again disappointed with the "Inconsistent Quality" and portions, but take your chances when you order. Its a 20+ year history for me... Perhaps it has run its course when compared with many truly excellent restaurants in the Ironbound. On a recent visit the large sirloin... More

Shrimp & Garlic, the best. Don't have Rodizio. Sometimes a little bit of a wait to be seated, but well worth the wait. White sangria is excellent.

Disappointed. Soups was tasty but not hot. Sangria lacked flavor. Shrimp and garlic was good paella mostly rice.
