Nice place!

Nice place. Good food. The decor seemed fancier than the place itself. Steak was tender and the portions were very large. Overall, it's a nice place in the district.

Amazing seafood platter for two filled with a whole lobster, shrimp, scallops, fillet, calamari, mussels, and clams all served over delicious rice and topped with roasted red peppers. This is heaven. Coffee is rich. Desserts are perfect. Wait staff is on point. The bread is so fresh.

I had dinner there with a friend before attending an event at the Prudential Center. Service was excellent. There were pages to the menu which always makes a hard decision on what to have. We picked a shrimp appetizer and mussels. Delicious! For dinner we split the portuguese seafood paella, loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops etc.

I took my Daughter's family here after touring the nearby Newark Museum. we had not eaten here in over 10 years, but it did not disappoint us. We all ate till we could eat no more and the service was excellent. If you are in the area (Iron Bound section of Newark) you must go. And if you are lucky... More

The last time I went to Iberia is was for a rehearsal dinner. The food was horrible. Some of the meat was cold while some didn't even looked like it was cooked at all. The seafood wasn't fresh and it tasted freezer burned. This restaurant used to be great, but it really has changed.

Issues: 1) Lobster price listed on website $14.95/lb. Lobster price on specials menu in restaurant $18.95/lb. We asked the waiter about the discrepancy and were told they just updated the menu and the website wasn’t updated yet. Well, days later and the website still shows $14.95/lb. Sounds illegal to me. 2) Steamed Lobsters – Some spice was added and these... More

The red snapper is huge, but not fresh and seasoned with lots of salt. The shrimp and garlic sauce smells great, but the shrimp are tiny. The service is good and there is no wait for a table.

At first the wait staff seemed to not treat us as welcomed guests. However I must point out that we went into the restaurant from the wrong side so it was a slight inconvenience to them. The food however was amazing, and as the time went on they seemed to become nicer. This might be due to the fact that... More

When your Portuguese/Spanish restaurant is located directly between two others, you had better be outstanding. Iberia Peninsula is not. The dining room is nice and the service was okay. We ordered from the lunch menu. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked and tasted great. The roast pork was good as well. The Paella à Valenciana was the big disappointment. Old,... More
