Friends of my wife and I went to the Iberia Tavern and Patio (across the street from Iberian Peninsular, but same owners). The food was delicious. There were 8 of us and we were seated right away. We ordered Sangria and calamari to start. The calamari was perfectly cooked, sweet and well seasoned. The Sangria went down very easily. All... More

Whenever my husband and I are in Newark, we like to eat at Iberia with family members. We always order the seafood platter. Family members like pasta, so almost always somebody orders one with their preferred sauce. Since the servings are pretty substantial, we usually order to share family style. So far, we loved each visit. We will definitely come... More

First of all, you are going to find a lot of restaurants around Ferry St. But, this restaurant has the looks inside-out from a true Iberian Peninsula restaurant. Now, let's start with the service. The hostess was kind of rude from the moment she asked us the size of our party, which was 6 adults and 2 toddlers. The restaurant... More

Actually there are three restaurants with this name very close to each other with common ownership. Of these I prefer the tavern because it offers natural daylight through large windows at the front. The restaurant offers a large menu, including both Spanish and Portuguese dishes--and Rodizio. Nearly every dish is great and the portions are very large, so you wind... More

First I wanna say that I had my wedding here 15 yrs ago as did my parents 39yrs ago and I've had both my kids baptism parties here and have never experience the bad service and food that I did at my nephews communion. So many things went wrong from having only one real waiter serving 70people (2,-3 more would... More

Iberia is one of my favorite restaurants for many reasons. For one, the food, & drinks are amazing! It is great to go with family to celebrate a birthday or event, a perfect spot for a romantic evening, & a fun place to go with friends to have some Sangria and listen to live music during the summer.

This is one of many eateries in the Ironbound section of Newark and they offer great meals and great value for the cost. The only negative thing I can say about the facility is during my last visit, they had some sort of festival going on and their parking lot was utilized for it so parking was a bit of... More

Big sprawling place with a big bar and several dining rooms. Big portions of good food. Not A+ food but very good. Good service and nice atmosphere.

We had a very large group (over 20 people) for dinner and found the food delicious and the service top notch, The portions were large and the food was prepared properly. I had a steak which was cooked exactly to the done-ness I requested, the sides were also excellent. The flan I had for dessert was amazing as well
