Iberia is one of my favorite restaurants for many reasons. For one, the food, & drinks are amazing! It is great to go with family to celebrate a birthday or event, a perfect spot for a romantic evening, & a fun place to go with friends to have some Sangria and listen to live music during the summer.

This is one of many eateries in the Ironbound section of Newark and they offer great meals and great value for the cost. The only negative thing I can say about the facility is during my last visit, they had some sort of festival going on and their parking lot was utilized for it so parking was a bit of... More

Big sprawling place with a big bar and several dining rooms. Big portions of good food. Not A+ food but very good. Good service and nice atmosphere.

We had a very large group (over 20 people) for dinner and found the food delicious and the service top notch, The portions were large and the food was prepared properly. I had a steak which was cooked exactly to the done-ness I requested, the sides were also excellent. The flan I had for dessert was amazing as well

The Ironbound neighborhood of Newark is a spectacular, under the radar destination so close to New York City. Tourists and many city dwellers have never seen this neighborhood which is a simple PATH ride away from midtown. It is a wonderful way to spend some time as well as have some magnificent, fresh Portuguese cuisine. BUT, when you get off... More

Lousy service on an uncrowded weekday night. Lobsters advertised did not exist, because they "come in Friday" according to the waiter. Miserable looking salad, watered down ice filled $22 sangria, and uninspired paella. The lobster in it looks like it was leftovers from someone else's plate, two clams, almost no sausage. If they want to serve potatoes, rice and bread,... More

When I travel to the NYC area I stay in Newark (hotels are cheaper) and I go to Iberia at least once. I like the all you can eat option (various meats, rice, salad, roasted pineapple) and it is delicious.

After what did not pass for a salad we waited for some time for our order to be taken, over an hour later our lobster(it was first taken to another table) arrived cold. If this was a 5 lb crustation it lost weight visiting the other table. Our waiter disappeared and never asked how we were. This last visit broke... More

Extensive menu. Food was ok but it took too long. They didnt have enough waiters that night and our waiter seemed to be new or inexperienced. They forgot some items which we had to request. Obviously, this was not our first option but our favorite place was packed.
