We came here after reviewing reviews on Yelp. It was within walking distance from our hotel, the Hilton. The Iberia Tavern is part of this restaurant & across the street. We came on a warm September evening for dinner so we decided to sit at the outdoor patio. The atmosphere was nice. They had a 2-man band (keyboards & bongo... More

Went here for a birthday meal. Surrounding neighborhood is questionable but the restaurant is fantastic. We ate outside & the staff couldn't have been nicer & more helpful. Live music was terrific, seafood for two could have been for four & was delicious!! We were not rushed out & really relaxed & enjoyed the entire experience. Great place to spend... More

I love the salmon and the sangria here. Last summer used to go almost everyday and seat at the patio eating, drinking and listening to the music. Now I go less often because I moved :(.

Love coming here on a Sunday afternoon. Between 12:00 & 3:00, prices are reduce, for a dinner size portion. Love the homemade sangria.

At one point in time, Iberia was the best restaurant in Newark. Today? It's awful. I've had several poor meals there over the past couple of years. The only reason I come back is because my father in law enjoys it, and he's too stubborn to try anyplace new. I've never been a fan of their steaks, so I usually... More

Prices have gone up and quality have gone down. But still a solid choice for a reasonable Lunch or Dinner with very good service. Sangria decent, used to be better a bit weaker now. You have to ask for the salad that is supposed to come with the Lobster specials. Meat dishes are now hit or miss. Somedays better than... More

I have eaten at this establishment on many occasions over the last 17 years, the last being Aug 4 to celebrate my sons birthday. Quantities are still good, but quality has gone down considerably. I ordered the Rodizio but even this which is difficult to screw up was indeed done. Meat was tough and not slow cooked. My son ordered... More

Friends of my wife and I went to the Iberia Tavern and Patio (across the street from Iberian Peninsular, but same owners). The food was delicious. There were 8 of us and we were seated right away. We ordered Sangria and calamari to start. The calamari was perfectly cooked, sweet and well seasoned. The Sangria went down very easily. All... More

Whenever my husband and I are in Newark, we like to eat at Iberia with family members. We always order the seafood platter. Family members like pasta, so almost always somebody orders one with their preferred sauce. Since the servings are pretty substantial, we usually order to share family style. So far, we loved each visit. We will definitely come... More
