We ate in Don Pepe Restaurant on Sunday and once again we were not disappointed. The service was very good, as was the food, and the portions were HUGE! We enjoyed every bite of our dinner, and took home enough to enjoy again the next day!

Horrible experience on Father's Day!!!!!! Everything from the rude hostess, to the waiters and bus boys that just throw your plates of food on the table. It's as if they were mad they had to work on Father's Day. All the items are way over priced and the portions are way smaller than Casa Vasca of Fornos of Spain. The... More

Great porterhouse steak, great fresh lobster! Service is very old school. They offer you so many choices. Hard to believe just how great it has remained for so long.

We went there for many years but gave up after a couple of ordinary meals. We decided to try it again and were really surprised by the quality. We each had the bronzino whole fish special and it was amazing and large. Best whole fish we've ever eaten and can't wait to go back. One complaint is that the house wine... More

Excellent place to have dinner before a show at the NJPAC. Very good Spanish food, and a wide variety of specials. Specializing in seafood and steak. Servers are extremely attentive.

Well, certainly not the best meal I have had in a while, in fact, somewhat disappointing but presentation, ambiance and abundance were all in place. I ordered the softshell crabs. Did not want breaded and fried so ordered sauted in butter. I really think they did not saute- I think they boiled them in a butter soup. Everytime I poked... More

I think this restaurant is missing the mark on many levels now. It used to be my favorite restaurant in the Iron Bound, but no more. The food was disappointing and almost tasteless. The garlic shrimp which is something we always order was more oily than garlicky. The lobster in the mariscada was tasteless and a weird texture. Even the... More

I love Don Pepe's and have been dining here since the late 1990's. I have also attended many a catered event (birthday parties, weddings, awards dinners, etc.). The paella is second to none, but everything on the menu is really delicious as well. Shrimp in Garlic Sauce is great as an appetizer or entree. So is the Shrimp in Wine... More

Three of us, from a local business, had a working lunch meeting. Parked right at the restaurant. We were going to simply have a bunch of the excellent appetizers: garlic shrimp, chorizo, calamari. One of the specials was Grilled Octopus, had to try it. Served w onions, whole potatos and garlic, was Fantastic! Never rushed our meeting, great service, great... More
