This is a hidden gem to newark. Maybe hard to see but when in Ironbound make sure to visit ! Their maritinis are always delicious . I love to get multiple little pairings and just sit drink talk and catch up. This is the perfect scene for it. Cant wait to revisit

I have been here several times and in the beginning they were above average. but now a days I would consider them average especially for their entrées. The Tapas of course have been and are very good. I would still recommend this place because the food is still very good. and you can always have a variety of tapas instead... More

Great little place in Ironbound Newark. Easy to get to and parking no problem at night. Also walking distance from Penn station. Small plates a must. Lots of interesting choices. New tastes. Attentive staff. Will go back and bring friends. A break from Bloomfield Ave in Montclair.

Stayed at a local hotel 4 days and went here twice. Tapas are truly unique and tasty. Service is refreshing and genuine. Get there early since it gets crowded and was clearly a locals favorite. Ordering tapas is a must and don't forget a glass of wine; the bar is stocked appropriately.

You won't find better tapas, cocktails or service anywhere in Newark. I have been there for both business and pleasure and the food is always top notch.

This is the second time my wife and I have dined here and the food was for the most part very good. We had the Cod Croquettes tapas which we enjoyed and the Grilled Squid tapas which was OK, but, was missing something flavor wise( I just looked at the menu and they forgot to include the peppers, garlic and... Love this place! It has a NYC feel with brick walls and nice music. Love the drinks especially a coconut drink they make. My favorite is the grilled octopus, it's so tender with fava beans. They also have steak etc for the less discerning. Love the tapa feel. Very romantic as well as chill environment for groups.

I am a proud Newark resident and my fiance and I have been to Mompou on a half dozen occasions. Located on Ferry st. (Walking distance from Newark Penn station, parking lots and bus stops) you get authentic food in this wonderful restaurant. Wonderful tapas and amazing Sangria! Besides the great food the restaurant is beautiful. You can enjoy a... More

Maybe tonight was an off night, but sadly nothing was good. Stale bread, mediocre flat bread, over cooked salmon (dry with rubbery manchego cheese), OK grilled octopus, saved by a good arugula and garbanzo bean salad. We sat in a beautiful room open to the outside but covered with vines and trellises. I recommend sitting in this area.
