the BEST baklava EVER!

I love this place. Food is very good (it can be better) and service is ok. I come here alone, wouldn't bring anyone as the service is very slow. Like the title says, this place has the best baklava you will EVER taste. This comes from trying out at least 10-20 different places. Everyone always... read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the expansion they made. The upstairs sinking area is very nice, comfortable and large. The food is consistently good and so is the service. Will def be back again and again.

We were concerned when we walked into the downstairs take out area with a few plastic tables, but were directed upstairs to the lovely dining room by the affable young woman at the counter. Sierra our server was knowledgeable and very helpful in what and how much to order. The food was amazing. The combination appetizer platter tasted as delicious... More

Efes is well located by the Rutgers campus. Our group of 4 ate in the upstairs dining room just after lunch time. By then they were completely out of lamb. For appetizers the stuffed grape leaves and baba ganush were very good with plentiful portions. Two orders of each more than satisfied the four of us. For the main course... More

Visited Efes for the first time with a group of lady friends. It was a very chilly night, and we were seated by the windows. I had to keep my coat on the whole time, but that is my only complaint. The service was friendly and efficient. The server was happy to answer our questions about the unfamiliar menu items.... More

Went to the Rutgers campus in New Brunswick with 7 friends. We toured the Art Museum a short stroll away, then went to Efes for lunch. None of us had been before, but since it was conveniently located near the Gateway parking garage and train station, we decided to try it out. We were greeted warmly when we got to... More

We go to Efes about once a month and really like the food and the staff. We routinely get the cold veggie platter and the lentil soup. The carnivore kids get burgers. Efes routinely (though not consistently) adds 18% gratuity to the bill (it may be triggered by a party of 5 or more). What irks me is that the... More

I travel to this location quite a bit being that I don't live that far, and plus I work in the area. While I work in the industry where taking care of guests is a TOP PRIORITY, I usually them send here if they are looking for really good food and would like something a little different. The gyros are... More

I went to Rutgers for undergrad so I ate at Efes quite often, although it was a bit pricey for us college students. But the food is always fresh, the people are always so sweet. I love that it's a small place on a busy street. Recently, our local community catered for 135 people. I was so afraid there wouldn't... More

New Brunswick, NJ hosts several Mediterranean restaurants. So far, this was the best Turkish place I have had food at in metro-NY. The service was polite, pleasant and good. The quality of food and cooking was excellent. The restaurant has a larger space to host events and bigger groups. We were over 50-75 attendees and it was a great experience.... More
