I travel to this location quite a bit being that I don't live that far, and plus I work in the area. While I work in the industry where taking care of guests is a TOP PRIORITY, I usually them send here if they are looking for really good food and would like something a little different. The gyros are... More

I went to Rutgers for undergrad so I ate at Efes quite often, although it was a bit pricey for us college students. But the food is always fresh, the people are always so sweet. I love that it's a small place on a busy street. Recently, our local community catered for 135 people. I was so afraid there wouldn't... More

New Brunswick, NJ hosts several Mediterranean restaurants. So far, this was the best Turkish place I have had food at in metro-NY. The service was polite, pleasant and good. The quality of food and cooking was excellent. The restaurant has a larger space to host events and bigger groups. We were over 50-75 attendees and it was a great experience.... More

We were scheduled to meet friends for lunch today at the the new lovely upstairs dining room at Efes. Even at noon the temperature was stifling-85 degrees. They were just about to turn on the AC. We asked for ice in our beverage, but there was none available. Whereas the food is good, the environment was uninviting---and we left for... More

Everything's amazing, delicious and tastes authentic. I lived in a Turkish neighborhood so that means a thing. From the lamb gyro to the chicken shish-kebab and the baklavas are to die for! The place's always full and we usually have to wait for 10/15min before getting a table but otherwise it's simply unbeatable!

They have the basic average Turkish food with a fast food mentality. Service was very good but the food was your average Turkish food.

Love the chicken kebabs here! Food always tastes fresh, good sauces & spices, many choices and they are currently expanding the restaurant which will make it even better!

The appetizers are very good. The broad beans and lahmacun are excellent. The egg plant appetizers and baklava are also good. The grilled meat are not as good as the appetizers. I recommend the lentil soup.

If you like middle eastern food, this is the place to go. It is a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but the food is reasonable and delicious. We eat here whenever we go to New Brunswick. The waitresses are helpful in selecting your meal. Great food.
