For any Rutgers experience to be complete, you have to visit at least one of the famed Grease Trucks. Spread out all over the Rutgers campuses, each truck contains a plethora of big, bountiful sandwiches with all sorts of different combinations of meats, cheese, and sauces. For me, I've come to rely on the Fat Jhonny, a combination of cheesesteak,... More

Cool environment and great food. The area was booming with college kids. It is interesting that the dueling trucks are going after the same customers across the parking lot.

My family lives in Bricktown NJ and my cousin kept talking about the "Grease Trucks" near Rutgers! We took the trip to eat there and it was AMAZING! Such cool menu items. My boyfriend was in heaven. I got a sub with a hamburger patty, cheesesticks, and more. It was a very large sub. We even saw it on Man... More

Let's say this. You're a new freshman at Rutgers University. You're walking around with your new friends on your first weekend at the BIG STATE SCHOOL at around midnight. Then you walk upon the fabled GREASE TRUCKS. You check out all the different sandwiches and choices and your friends and you finally decide on what you want. You sit down... More

My daughter and her friends go out of there way to eat at the Grease Trucks. Her friends drive 40 minutes so they can have a delicious fat cat sub or any of the large variety subs that the Grease Trucks make. She says she hasn't had a bad meal there yet, and her mouth waters just thinking about it.

It is recommend to try something new every time. I wouldn't eat this everyday but when I do it definitely hits the spot!

Gotta get a fat sandwich in New Brunswick! Basically any type of your favorite fried fare on a roll. My favorite is the Fat Mojo: chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, and honey mustard. Fantastic!

Good college food. Yes it is greasy. Yes it is absurdly unhealthy, but the sandwiches are not bad at all. A better option then subway, and around the same price. I usually get the chicken parm or the chicken cheese steak, not a fan of the french fries in my sandwich. The onion rings are decent, not great. The grilled... More

This is one of those places that is so good to you it might kill you. No one will accuse these trucks of adding years to one's life, but eating here really does add life to one's years. I try to eat healthy, so I come here after reaching various goals or milestones. I've never tried the sandwich eating contest,... More
