Soulful Sunday

My experience at Deltas has always been amusing. For starters, the decor is industrial style and lively music heard as soon as you open the door that creates a warm inviting mood. The food is definitely southern cuisine: greens, oxtails, macaroni and cheese, black eye peas, ribs, cornbread(the... read more

We made reservations and advised we were first time guests for an anniversary celebration. We were greeted by the hostess with a 'Happy Anniversary' - that was the highlight of our anniversary celebration. Though the server was friendly, we were given drinks, appetizers, dinner and the check within an hour. Our water glasses were never refilled, a cocktail went empty... More

The concierge at the hotel steered me to this place and I'm very grateful. The smothered chicken is great, as is the corn bread. Others I've dined here with say the fish is excellent (I don't eat fish). Great sides too.

Ordered a Club Sandwich with no Mayo but with butter. Received balls of butter on a separate dish. Would have had to deconstruct the Club Sandwich to butter the sandwich. French fries were luke warm. Service left a lot to be desired and left my 2 cents with the waiter. Suggest you eat elsewhere.

Went here for a ladies night out . A coworker of my aunts had a gig singing here. The place is located in a quiet little area. The location is great. We were seated very quickly and our waitress was very helpful at first. I say at first because we figure she was overwhelmed with all of her tables. she... More

The food is very good, some even excellent. The sweet potato waffles (served with fried chicken) are delicious. The peach ribs are great, collards sweet and not soggy, mac and cheese terrific. Catfish was a little watery. Jambalaya grits tasted really good but were too soupy. Philly steak egg roll (appetizer) was awful. Wednesday is 1/2 price bottle wine night!... More

I've eaten here in the past, some years ago, and despite not great memories about those instances, I decided to try Delta's again. Alas, things haven't improved. From the initial cold welcome, to the long wait for cappuccinos that never happened, With the upper floor devoid of dinners at the time we were shown to the least desirable table. Huh?... More

We came to Delta's for a friend's birthday celebration. The food is very good (but not outstanding) and the service is excellent. Delta's is well maintained and situated. There was a band playing jazz the night that we went, but, given our seating, it was difficult to appreciate the music. This did not take away from our dining experience as... More

Upscale place. The ambiance and service was excellent. They have 95 cent mimosas for brunch - and it was great. The shrimp was excellent. Otherwise food was decent - pretty good but I didn't think it was over the top. The quantity isn't much so ordering the sides would be a good idea. Overall, the place is good for a... More
