Very good beers and food

Nice variety of pub food and very good beer made on site. I had the fish and chips and it was very good. I went here before a Rutgers football game and sat upstAs I said the pub type food is top notch as are the variety of beers. In the past I have had some sandwich specials too.

i stopped in for dinner and a pint. The Greekzaa was amazing, second only to the made in house pints. I have been here before and this place is like a fine wine, getting better with age. They have a decent selection of their own ales. If you don't like ales, I would stay away.

Stopped in for a late meal after seeing a play at Rutgers. Nice dinning area upstairs. Service was ok but not great - waiter was not very attentive but food was delivered fast and the food runner and busboy were great. Food was good - chicken wings and fried pickles were good appetizers. We ordered the Hammer pizza which was... More

Wonderful beers, great atmosphere, interesting menu. They have a few standards but they're always adding a few new wrinkles. Good salads, home-made pizzas, diverse entrees from Asian to Italian. They're not afraid to spice things up if you like your food hot either!

Laid back pub atmosphere. They brew several craft beers. I ate at the bar and had fish and chips. Chips were described in menu as English cut potatoes. They weren't, but just shoestring fries. Some of the best cole slaw I have every had, but the serving was tiny. Recommend

Fresh local brews! Amazing place for a person who loves beer. One of the best is the Oktoberfest, which is usually served around October. All others as fantastic as it can get. Good choice of food and appetizers as well.

I've been many times. The menu is a mixed bag but food is good. Beers are great -- far better than Triumph in Princeton for example. Strongly suggest going in September or October and getting their pumpkin ale, which is among the best I've ever had.

Great casual atmosphere. Fun enviroment and enjoyed Beer Sampler and Tasting all the Beers. The St Pat's Day Stoudt was tasty and my favorite. The Fish N Chips were amazing and a great portion. The Pad Thai was authentic and the German Platter was a huge amount of food and very Hearty and good quality. Great casual place to meet... More

This is not just a brew pub. Although they brew their own beers, and those are excellent, they have full bar service and a full menu. On any given night you can run into local residents, college students, corporate crowds, or just friendly people. It gets a little crowded in the bar area, but when it's warm they open up... More

We visited on a Saturday and the wait was very reasonable, despite being crowded. Even large groups were seated quickly. The baretenders recommendations were spot on and the food was phenomenal! Very different from the usual pub fare and much more flavorful than expected. Same for their brews, especially the New Zealand brew. We will definitely be coming back to... More
