A jewel in New Jersey.

The restaurant is delightful with the outside area to be recommended. Service was attentive without being "in your face". Food was exceptional although the starters were better than the mains. Thoroughly to be recommended.

Enjoyed dinner with outdoor seating. Street parking is quite limited in the evening. Valet service was convenient (note $9) unless you park in one of the decks and walk 2-3 blocks. The setting is beautiful and the restaurant has history. Food was creative and plated well. Service was disappointing. Had a similar experience as another person who posted about multiple... More

The food was ok. Nothing to really remember but the service was poor. The first dish was "thrown" on the table by someone who had just come out of the kitchen. Multiple servers were coming to the table and nobody really took good care of us. Final surprise. The 20% tip was added by the restaurant (in writing). I am... More

This place is not for anyone on a budget, because if you care how much you spend on a meal you will be disappointed because of the value. The food is tasty but the portions are super small. Even after eating bread, appetizers and dessert I still left the restaurant feeling hungry. All we had to drink was water, and... More

One of the most creative menu in New Jersey. Highest of haut cuisine. The ambience and decor of this renowned fine dining bistro are top class. It is conveniently-located close to the heart of New Brunswick, but far enough away in a quiet area at the end of a cul-de-sac separated by a large wall from SR 18, While the... More

This is our favorite restaurant in the New Brunswick area. We live in East Brunswick and eat out several times per week. We find the food at 'The Frog' to be innovative and always of top calibre. On nice days, sitting outside on the terrace is a nice change from indoor eating. The 'wines by the glass' list is very... More

I had dinner here last night with a colleague. The menu is interesting and the wine selection good. Sitting in the outdoor covered area was lovely on the warm evening we were enjoying. The starters were great - smoked salmon and truffled egg is a definite hit and the mains were also very pleasant.

I've been to The Frog and the Peach several times. IT is pricey, but usually worth it. The last time we went, the tuna was over cooked and dry. We mentioned something to the wait staff and asked for additional sauce. They came with some additional sauce after a couple minutes, but did not offer to 'fix' the meal in... More

There are cheaper places to eat in New Brunswick but if you want to splash out a bit visit the Frog. The wine list is extensive and covers the full price range with plenty of choice from US, Europe, the other places. Food is great. Very atmospheric.

I was with a group and the dinner was not good - fish was under cooked, and still under cooked after I sent it back. This shouldn't happen in a 'classy' restaurant.
