Very good food in New Brunswick but too noisy.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times and always enjoyed the food. The last time was early this week for a dinner meeting. I guess I have forgotten how noisy this restaurant is. Not a good place to go for a romantic dinner or a meeting. Casual but elegant dinner ? Yes. You can... read more

Innovative dishes drawn from seasonal local ingredients are served by a warm staff in a beautiful bright space. It's a great place worth every penny and just a short walk from the train, too.

We were in new Brunswick for a "culinary" leisure of a weekend. After reading so many articles in NJ Monthly about this restaurant, we just HAD to go have dinner there. We got there a few minutes early to have drinks at the bar, which was very nice. Great pineapple infused vodka (not as good as Capital Grill's Stoli Doli,... More

This place is pretty, serene and fresh. The food is outstanding and the service impeccable. I couldn't find a wine I liked but they kept working with me until I found one I liked. This is my friends, who lives in New Jersey, favorite place to dine. I can certainly see why. I treated her for her birthday but I... More

We really enjoyed the food....my oysters were fresh and delicous, the asparagus salad was great. My halibut was outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant but caution them to train up their staff. The service was lacking....not for effort or sincerity but t lack of knowledge. There was a persistant tone of executiing a script versus reading the table....2 people had the... More

I post reviews here as a booster. People work hard. People sacrifice. As people that breath life into restaurants, owners and staff run a business, they worry, they put the time and sweat equity in and they care about your customers. The good restaurants do. You patronize that place? You work hard too, only instead, you work to earn the... More

This is my husband's and my FAVORITE restaurant! For his birthday, I wanted to do something special, so I called to ask if they would be able to print menus that didn't have prices on them so that he wouldn't be thinking about the cost for his birthday. I spoke to Mary, one of the hostesses and she was incredibly... More

I visited the Frog and Peach again last Sunday March 8. I must say I could hardly believe the dinner. First off, the bread was actually burned and they served it to us. That burnt taste doesn't leave your mouth for a while. I gave another try to their romaine salad. The leaves of the salad were not fresh, they... More

Quite possibly The Frog and The Peach used to used to live up to the hype associated with its name. Whether or not this is the case, I'm afraid I've never experienced noteworthy food or service at this restaurant. Servers don't spend time introducing guests to the menu, directing them instead to a printed insert describing the evening's specialties. On... More

Sorry to hear that you don't like the extensive remodeling of the restaurant that has taken place over the last several years. We spend a great amount of time and energy in not being complacent and strive to keep getting better. We will continue to work on all other aspects of The Frog too. Again sorry and we hope to...
