We were there on Sun. Jan 25th. I had made the reservation for 5 pm and we arrived around 5:15 and were seated promptly. We had tix to see the 7 pm show at the George St. Playhouse and I wanted to leave plenty of time to eat a leisurely dinner. For the appetizer, I ordered the new england clam... More

The restaurant was very busy for a Thursday evening. However our server was very attentive and made us feel like we were his only customers. We enjoyed appetizers, the younger girls ordered burgers (they were huge) and the others in r group really enjoyed fish, chicken and pasta. Unfortunately no room for dessert. Certainly a do over. Don't bother looking... More

The Sunday buffet is excellent. The service could use some polishing they are not alway on top of what is needed at the table and attuned to the needs of the customers. However the food is great.

Our daughter lives close by and does frequent this restaurant and thought we would also like to visit it on our trip back East recently. Large menu with vegan and meat dishes. We especially enjoyed talking and choosing our drinks. We had the Elder Flower Cosmo. Wow...delicious. We had to have 2 because they go down to quickly. Very nice... More

Good spot if you're looking for casual dining, good food, and good prices. We game here before the basketball game and had a good dinner. The service and atmosphere were good. The menu had a nice selection of meat, fish, and salads. We would come back again.

Each time my family and I visit New Brunswick, NJ, I enjoy eating here. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is delicious. We have never had a bad meal. The wait staff is prompt and very responsive to your every need. Although they take reservations, there is little time to wait even on their busiest weekend nights. We... More

We decided to eat at Old Man Rafferty’s as my Brother in Law who was visiting from Atlanta was staying at a New Brunswick Hotel. We met for Lunch at Noon and even though the place was hopping we were seated very quickly. Our Waitress took our drink order, my Wife and Brother in Law had Pepsi and I had... More

Rafferty's is always a busy place and always has good food. The menu is large making choices hard but I always find something good. I had the stuffed founder dinner, it came with the freshest string beans, delicious rice and a wonderful salad. A fine choice of a restaurant in New Brunswick. Parking in the Church street deck is the... More

Can't go wrong here. Good eats and good value. Service is exceptional, too. If in NB, check it out. You won't go away hungry or disappointed. TED

This is a firmly established place in New Brunswick not far from the Rutgers University campus. Food and atmosphere are very good. There are public parking lots convenient.
