Overpriced and disappointing

I was there as part of a business diner and invited by our boss. First of all it is so gloomy and dark, I guess it is supposed to be fancy and cosy, it just did not work for me. It is really what I would call a "kind of a try hard fancy place". The portions are ridiculously small... read more

I liked this place but did not love it. It is a pretty cool space, with some slate/stone walls, a nice big bar on the left side, a brick chimney, and seating which is not too crammed together. The food was good but not great. For appetizers we tried a few things and I really liked the lamb meatballs. For... More

Great place, food and service. Rigatoni Bolognese was very good. Also had lamb meatballs with were light and flavorful. Would come here again.

Met a friend here for dinner to try something new in New Brunswick, a bit disappointed. We started (or hoped to start) with the meat and cheese board, followed by salads, and then each ordered the scallops. One of my biggest pet peeves is when appetizers and salads come out together. It makes me feel rushed. And I can't enjoy... More

Was looking for a spot for a large group (5 couples) to celebrate a birthday and Tula was very accommodating. Food and drinks were excellent. Service a bit slow. 7:30p reservation and left after 11. All in all though very pleased. Good times.

Prior to visiting a friend in the hospital, we were walking along Easton Avenue looking for a place to have dinner and we came upon Tula. Since the menu was to our liking, we went in. My husband and I both the onion soup which was good, and our friend had a green salad which said was very good. Hubby... More

They have a great signature drink menu and a wide variety menu surety please all palates. The meat dishes (i had the rack lamb while a dining companion had the hangar steak) are perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious. Other members of our party had fish, swordfish, scallops and a fruit de mer pasta. All were satisfied. Desserts were on the... More

We recently enjoyed drinks and dinner at Tula Restaurant. The food was delicious and the total cost was very reasonable for what we received. My wife and I really liked the meatball app and my swordfish with saffron rice and chorizo was very memorable. Staff was very attentive and we never had to look for someone, they always materialized when... More

A good place for lunch: we had the soup of the day -- carrot ginger soup. Sandwiches were OK: I had the Mahi-mahi on special. Service was spotty, despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't entirely full. Maybe because it wasn't crowded, we were able to enjoy a quiet conversation. Prices seemed reasonable.

One of my colleagues made reservations at Tula so that we could take a colleague who's retiring out to lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly on arrival and were given water to drink and menus as we waited for the rest of our party. I had to ask twice to have my water glass refilled. Our server said, "Absolutely!"... More
