Live 45 minutes away but will travel for their ice cream and chocolate store!!! Yes the prices are a bit pricey but when it good, fresh stuff it is so worth the price and trip. Their ice cream shop as a great atmosphere along with variety of ice cream and toppings. Chocolate store the chocolate covered pretzels and gummi bears... More

I visited twice during my most recent visit to New Brunswick. The first time I had the coffee ice-cream which was delicious. The most intriguing part was how creamy and soft it was. I was also impressed by the fact that they had three different coffee ice creams. The second time I had the vanilla and amaretto ice creams and... More

I had vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone; I had to order two scoops because one scoop looked like nothing. I couldn't taste a hint of vanilla in the vanilla ice cream and the waffle cone was soft and flavorless. My wife had a small sundae with walnuts, hot fudge and whipped cream. She got chocolate sauce not hot... More

It you are into homemade ice cream or very sweet stuff, this is the place for you. We had a craving for something sweet and thought we'd give it a try. I got the brownie sundae. It was on the sweet side - at least for me. They had a steady stream of folks come for their ice cream. Being... More

Flavors are vast, and the guy behind the counter (obviously a Rutgers student) was super helpful in helping me figure out what flavors I wanted. I've also gotten an unplanned ice cream cake here for a friend's birthday, and it was pretty darn good; on par with the Carvel cakes but a lot "fresher" thanks my subconscious telling me that... If you ask me where I get my ice cream from I will always point you to Thomas sweet. Freshest and creamiest ice cream Money can buy in nj. I always fall victim to the blendins. My favs are usually strawberry ice cream with kit kat bars ooooo soo delicious!

We have been enjoying Thomas Sweet for 30 years! Our first visit was as college freshmen and our latest was last week as parents of a college senior. We love it every time! The servers are always patient and pleasant as we debate on which combo to choose for our blend-in. When our daughter graduates in December we will find... More

No doubt Thomas Sweet (located on Easton Ave in New Brunswick, Nassau St in Princeton, next to the Montgomery Theater in Montgomery and on Wisconsin Ave in Georgetown DC.) has very good ice cream. I do not think it is better that Ben and Jerry's or Haggen Das but it is always good. I prefer the regular ice cream to... More
