Rule one of business travel is don't order room service unless required and don't eat in the hotel restaurant unless it is a venue or under duress (after 11 pm, snow storm, better than room service, etc.). Glass Woods Tavern is no exception. It is is typical fare served with above average prices even for the region. Mostly American classics... More

Scarce menu, poor beer selection (but Guinnes saved it), and once ordered the Baby Back Ribs, had more food than I ever could ask for.

My wife and I and another couple had dinner at the Glass Woods Tavern before a show at the State Theatre. I had made reservations for a Sunday evening, but did not need them. We were promptly seated and our drink orders were taken. I had the caesar salad and the chicken quesadilla. My wife had the seafood chowder. Everyone... More

I've been here for breakfast a few times. It's a pretty place, but the menu was quite limited in terms of choice--and the breakfast buffet was almost embarrassing with its veeeerrry limited options. One would only need to make one round/plate and then call it a day here. Ordering from the menu has its perks, and that is portion size... More

The food was great quality and prepared well. The portions were too large to finish. On Sunday night the service was very slow. We prepared for a leisurely dinner but this exceeded our tolerance. The problem was in the kitchen. The wait staff could not have been more attentive and accomodating.

We stopped for a drink one evening, had a mid-day snack and a buffet breakfast. Service was very good on all three occasions. The bar couldn't fill our wine order because our choices were out of stock. The quesadillas we ordered were among the best we have ever had. The breakfast buffet was deluxe with made to order omelets, thick... More

Okay - so this is a little gem buried in the Hyatt lobby. Stopped by here for a quick dinner with a colleague during a conference, and we were both really impressed. Food was served hot, server was attentive but not overly, it was quiet, and well, food tasted great! I got the chicken panini and she got the chicken... More

Ate there with a group for lunch. We thought all the food was fabulous. We tried the chowder, spicy chicken, strip steak, crab cakes, lobster mac n cheese to name a few. We plan to eat there again and highly recommend Glass Woods Tavern. I will say the lunch menu could drop in price a bit to be more competitive... More
