Stopping for brunch after sitting in traffic

After searching for a decent plate of eggs, we finally came upon Cracker Barrel for much needed protein & luscious pancakes topped with apples & raspberry syrup. The usual combinations are available with sausage, bacon or turkey links. There is no way you will ever leave hungry with all the various... read more

I just remember it was better. The staf was pleasant and the place was clean. But the food was just aaah. It is a reasonable priced restaurant, but the quality of food just wasn't there. The chicken fried steak was like almost a big flat ground meat / hamburger breaded. The fried chicken, which maybe my fault, I thought was... More

I am still going to give them a good review because it was the Saturday after New Years Day....however, that said. Come on Cracker Barrel staff in Mount Arlington NJ....you know you get busy?! I don't like to slam a restaurant because I know how difficult the industry is. But to have so many empty tables yet still explain to... More

Second year going to Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving Dinner at this location. The first time the meal was great, this year a frozen dinner would of been better. Our salads were the best part of our dinner. My son ordered a grilled cheese which was greasy and fell apart. This is the meal he always gets and never had a... More

I frequent the local Cracker Barrel about once a month. When traveling, if there is one nearby, I will eat there as I know what to expect. The food is good and the price very good. I would have given a "very good" rating, but there is too much inconsistency with food temperature. There are numerous menu selections and something... More

If your looking for that great heavy fill your appetite to its max meal this is the place to go. Everything they serve is so bad for you but it's absolutely delicious. You can't beat a good hearty breakfast and Cracker Barrel never fails. The pancakes taste as if they are dessert and the bacon is perfect. They have a... More

Waited ten minutes for our waitress to appear, but only after finding manager to see if we were forgotten. After an unusually long time, soup was served. After taking two spoonfuls, entree was plopped on the table. Food not hot when served; took at least five minutes just to find a waitress to have food returned to kitchen. After eating,... More

As in many of my previous reviews of this chain, this one is just as good. Constant quality and service keep this chain alive and flourishing. The meals are priced right and they aim to please if yours falls short.

Had a great breakfast with family. Friendly and cheerful staff. Food arrived hot and in a timely manner. A mistake on 1 of our orders was taken care of effeciently. Huge glass of OJ! I had French toast with real maple syrup which was very good, as was the pancakes and eggs.

Cracker Barrel is always a dependable place to eat when you are traveling on the road. I've been to many across the country, however I have always found the one off I-80 in Mt. Arlington exceptionally friendly and inviting. Kathy, the store greeter seems to remember us every time we visit. I've stopped by for dinner, late supper or just... More
