Next door to Tabor Tavern, same ownership. In an area known for very good Italian restaurants this was a disappointment. As with Tabor Tavern they swarm you with excess personnel , at least 3 servers who seem to be new to the job. Appetizers were good , main course was mediocre , coffee cold severed with skim milk. Menu item... More

Read a review titled, "Expensive For a Chain". This is Not a chain restaurant! It is one of the restaurants owned by Harvest Group Restaurants. They own Roots, Trap Rock, Huntley Tavern, Urban Table, and Tabor Road. The food does not compare to a chain. It is by far much better!

Very much has the feel of a chain restaurant. Food is OK, nothing special. Portions are on the small side, prices are on the high side. Can be noisey. Service is good. Parking is usually unavailable and you are forced to use a valet. This would be considered a pretty good Italian restaurant in Texas. In the NJ/NY area, you... More

Have eaten at Grato a few times and really liked it. We had our daughter's graduation luncheon this past weekend. There were 33 of us and the service was terrific! The food came out hot and everyone was served all 3 courses basically at the same time. We started with Salumi platters on the table then choice of 3 starters,... More

We went to Grato for dinner on a Saturday evening and it was truly a "dining experience". The staff was so attentive but not intrusive. I had the Arancini (crispy risotto, herb pesto, mozzarella and a delicious bolognaise sauce) as an appetizer and it was absolutely fantastic. We also ordered two of their pizza's and they were delicious. Definitely now... More

Grato has very good, interesting food in a nice atmosphere. When we visited recently with our son a week after his college graduation, the first question we were asked was whether we were celebrating a special occasion and we mentioned the graduation. That was the cue for our entire server "team," and seemingly every employee in the restaurant, to begin... More

Went here for my 9th wedding anniversary, and I wasn't overly impressed. It was $100 (with tip) for 1 app, 2 entree's, 1 mixed drink ($12), and 2 beers. Because it was our anniversary we got a free desert sampler. (So if you want a free desert, just say it's you anniversary when you make a reservation!) I wasn't overly... More

Lunch with a girlfriend. Loved how they took our coats and the service was polite but not intrusive. I had a Caprese salad then grilled prawns, both were yum. We finished with espresso and the lemon rind was a nice touch. However I live in Italy & have not seen lemon rind anywhere near my coffee before. ;) Nice ambience... More

Sat at the bar for dinner, since I didn't have reservations and didn't want to wait an hour for a table. It was a pleasant experience! The bartender/waiter was very professional and courteous. Food was fresh and delicious, especially the Calamari. For the main course, I ordered the Friends Orecchiette. Very unique and abundantly flavorful. I accompanied my meal with... More
