Client Dinner

Dinner with colleagues and client. Nice decor, loaded with people, reservations are a must. We received excellent service if not a bit over the top. The menu had something for everyone at our table. Appetizers thru dessert. I tried the hose beer Ghost Pony as was happy I did. I had a fish... read more

The company I work for moved to Parsippany a few months ago and we "discovered" Tabor Road Tavern on the 1st day. So glad we did. A few of us returned a couple of days ago and really enjoy the superior service and food. From the open rafter design and the warmth of the fireplaces, the environment is very inviting.... More

I spent the evening with colleagues here. The menu is ok, but the things are quite expensive, and when I got my steak I was simply disappointed. Very thin, quite black on the outside. The potatoes were just average. The creme brûlée afterwards was ok, but not freshly prepared. The wine by the glass was excellent, the waiters average. The... More

Stay away. Absolutely awful in every regard. Arrogant service, snobby atmosphere and outrageous prices for average food. What a joke.

Went to restaurant the week after our bad experience next door at Grato. Even though they are owned by the same people the food was light years apart. The hanger steak and duck breast dinners were really good. We sat near the fire place and enjoyed every part of the experience. Beginning to end of the meal A+. Thanks -... More

I was invited here to a business lunch meeting yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I work in the next town over and drive on Route 10 often, but never heard of or noticed Tabor Road Tavern. The atmosphere is very cozy and reminded me of, as other reviewers have said, a ski lodge. I ordered the bunless salmon burger lunch... More

Very different and unique interior. Love the New England type interior. Reminds me of a ski lodge. Very clean, great food and service.

Have had dinner there several times. Good variety on menu and not just normal standard fair. Small portions. A little pricey. Monday night salmon was great...well prepared. Had the same last night...a little dryer. Chicken and pork chop dish was also very good. Wednesday night service was TERRIBLE. Took over an hour for them to serve our food. Waiter an... More

The Staff was very unfriendly and uppity, we stopped in and although we didn't have a reservation they didn't want to seat us in an empty restaurant. The hostess was very short and acted like she was doing us a favor. I mentioned that I did not like the attitude and she said "I'm here to seat you not be... More

This place is amazingly good. Nothing overwhelming, but modern cuisine well done. I've lunched there many times and place is perfect for business lunch. Not terribly cheap, but not astronomically expensive either. You get what you paid for: very good atmosphere, cordial and quick service and great food. No point on commenting on each entry on the menu as menu... More
