I am being generous with the average rating. You would be better off going to the Shoprite across the other side of the mall for pre-cooked (hot serve, self-serve) BBQ food to guarantee yourself a tasty and consistent food choice. If you are truly looking for real BBQ, go to Lucy's BBQ on State Road in Northeast Philly.

My husband and I like to come here on a Friday night and listen to the live music. I always get the pork ribs so that's all I can review - they are consistently good. I also like that they have a better variety of sides than most Bbq places. The portion sizes are right for us and a good... More

I went here yesterday and had a 1/4 chicken with mashed potatoes and french fries. My mom had the pulled pork sandwitch and she said the bread tasted old and the pork was cold now for my food the chicken wasn't even 1/4 chicken it was a chicken leg and the chicken had blood inside of it and the mashed... This place has changed a lot over the years. I used to ignore the negative reviews I read because we had never had anything but positive experiences there. However, tonight was a completely different story. First, the young lady running the register appeared to be the only one working and her appearance was totally unprofessional. Forget the tats and piercings.... More

First visit. Interior bright and clean. All sorts of interesting decor. Two flat screen TVs on two opposite walls in dining area really serve no purpose but were not bothersome. Rest of wall filled with interesting BBQ trivia and signage. Service was friendly and quick. Had pulled pork plate which was wonderful and very tasty! Baked beans were sweet and... More

it rare anyone has beef ribs, so to have them puts your rep on the line because of the inherent challenges over pork ribs. so for them to have ti was a gamble . they won,,, I had the small rib plate which was still a filler , so without much hunting I found a great bbq spot, it s... More

I'm a big BBQ fan. I've sampled most of the worthwhile BBQ joints around here. Local to the Moorestown/Mt.Laurel area, this place is worth a try. ****Tip**** Check Living Social/Double Take Deals/Groupon. They often run promos. I've seen spend $10 and get $20 worth BBQ. Lately they have spend $15 to get $30 worth of BBQ. Awesome deals....check those sites... More

We stop in at Bassett's occasionally, usually for pulled chicken sandwiches, fries, cole slaw. All are very good, nice portion for the price (except tiny bit of cole slaw). I like the "hot" sauce but always request extra. Don't expect any of the staff to "welcoming". Friday and Saturday nights have live music after 6:00.

Our community, Hearthstone at Woodfield, in Pemberton Borough had Bassett's Original Memphis BBQ cater our Labor Day Luau Party for 66 people. We selected Carolina Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken pieces, potato salad, cole slaw and corn bread. The food was delicious! Everyone raved about it. We picked it up and drove it out to our community which is about a... More

Had to go to Kmart. I'm not in that shopping center often, and I noticed Bassett's Original Memphis BBQ. Its lunch time. Lets give it a try. Bassett's – an unusual name. I know there is a chain of delis by that name in Philadelphia that sells very unremarkable turkey sandwiches. Could there be a Bassett family in the barbeque... More
