New Year's Eve

Lively and filled with families on New Year's Eve. Busy and attentive staff. Dinner was very good. Chicken Teriyaki and Seafood Noodles flavorful and fresh. Nice night.

Having eaten in countless Japanese restaurants, I am always on the lookout for something that distinguishes one from all the rest; something unique or special that is not standard fare. Yuki in Montvale, New Jersey has an extensive and appealing menu and the food made most of the seven of us quite happy. The three of us who had Chicken... More

I wrote the review almost 4 years ago, "Sushi good, Jimmy not." I am writing now to update my opinions and recommendations, and to correct any impressions that problems that existed 4-5 years ago are still problems. No, they are not. After learning that Jimmy sold the place, and departed, I decided to try it again, and was pleasantly surprised.... More

This place is owned by Asian, but not Japanese. They do not have authentic Japanese food. If I am looking for Japanese food, this is not a place I would go. I am half Japanese, grew up in Japan, I can tell the difference between the real Japanese food and American/Japanese food. It's reasonable and was not my choice to... More

Stopped here for lack of a better option aside from bar or diner food in the immediate area. Fish was visibly not fresh, rice was too mushy, and the whole place just looked like a cheap strip mall partition (which it is.) I am sure it works for someone looking for food on a low budget, but it is not... More

Jimmy took pride in his work, but the new owners don't seem to. The quality of the fish has gone down and the spark is gone. Yuki was never amaing, but was consistent and a good value for Bergen county. Yuki used to be a notch above the rest but now its barely average. I am a sushi afficianado and... More

The place has new owners and the sushi is not the same any more. But the service got better. Too bad. Time to look for a new place.

Been going here every two weeks for a couple of years. It's a BYOB so saves some money on wine. Sushi is always fresh and excellent. It's a bit aggravating that they try to sell you the expensive specials every time. Miso soup and edamame can come out luke warm so be sure to ask for it hot.

It took 2hours to prepare sushi for 2 kids and 2 adults. We went in at 7pm and our sushi a were served at 915pm. They wanted to charge us for the unserved miso soups. Never ever will go

Fresh is the key word here. You can watch the sushi chefs working with whole, fresh fish at the sushi bar. Service is good, prices are good, and they deliver. I've brought a few co-workers here that have become fans.
