It's North Carolina style, so its not swimming in overly-sweet gunky BBQ sauce. You can choose your own vinegar-based sauce, very tasty! The mac and cheese is very good too, and be sure to have a slice of the home-made red velvet cake when available, it's excellent!

The food is amazing! Feels like you are in a little 'hole-in-the-wall' place with delicious barbecue brisket and ribs. The dry rub is perfectly complimented by the barbecue sauce and they give you an overwhelming amount of food. I will be coming back again, but probably for take-away.

Great for take out -- and fun to sit down and eat at too. Not fancy, but very, very friendly. Bring along a few beers, order lots and lost of "sides" and plan to take something home.

Very sad that soul food was not food to my soul at this place. It want tasty at all. The ribs were dried out and tough! The mac&cheese looked like it was scrapped from the bottom and cooked a week ago! And love soul food and know how it should taste, but I will never go back there again!!
