If you have a discerning palette, appreciate good service, believe the cost of the meal should equal the quality, then you should skip Russo’s on 33. Our date night dinner at Russos was medium at best. Our thought; 1. Food is average. Jersey people get excited when a new place opens due to the dearth of good restaurants in the state. 2. Ambiance is weak. Too much lighting and layout of place is poor. 3. Two people. Only food. BYOB. $100 including tip. Way overpriced. 4.... More

Name of restaurant is now Russo's. Dined at 6:30 PM on a Saturday night. Greeted at hostess stand with a big smile. Seated promptly at 6:30 and our server, Amanda, was simply one of the best servers I have ever had. She was friendly and full of life, but not a chatty Kathy. She knows the menu and when she... I remember going to Luchento's for so many years with my parents and enjoyed the quality food and dining experience,, it was second to none. I dined there about a year ago and didn't have a favorable experience, the food just was not the same.I noticed the name of the place changed so was curious to try it out again... More

I have been to this restaurant before when it was Luchento's. I was intrigued to try it again when I saw it was now Russo's on 33. I was very pleased that the same high quality care in food preparation is still in place. I had the linguine alla Frank Sinatra, which was the chef's special. Mario, the maître d'... More

Loved the entertainment but the new cooks food made my mouth water. They are old school Brooklyn Italian and you won't get a bad plate. They are not expensive when comparing to anyone of that caliber. I took 5 others with me and everyone agrees, Luchentos rules !

So now they changed the name to Russo's on 33 to make you think that there is new owners but its the same people serving the same low quality fare. This once great place now has gone dramatically down hill! Maybe they should have fixed the menu and the food! We have been going there for years and it was... More

What a disappointing evening.... Service was absolutely horrible and slow. The food came out cold and was tasteless and soggy. The decor of the place is very nice. But the food and service is definitely lacking in this place. I think its under new management and keeps changing hands, but definitely not fine dining Italian.

The salmon was outrageously delicious, made with extra care in its presentation. Amazing sauce with decorative cherry tomatoes full of flavor. Sax Man Dan the sax / DJ was a true talent along side the famous Goumba Johnny who performed a world class comedy act. Pleasant experience, will be back.

We came on Friday night during Lent...restaurant had very few patrons. Entertainer cancelled for this evening. Our waiter mixed up our order and brought the wrong entree for my husband. Our thin crust pizza as a starter was delicious. My salmon was slightly over cooked. By the time they brought my husband's tough Pork chop entrée, I had already finished... More
