There is more to this small and crowded café than meets the eye.The ever changing menu is surprisingly sophisticated. The service is efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Regulars here know the individual meals at the table will be prepared extremely well and are willing to put up with the crowded and noisy small dining room. Ambiance is barely noticeable. My daughter and I recently had lunch at zinc. The food is always good and fresh. My daughter had the salad with grilled shrimp, mango and corn with black bean salsa and I had the salad with warm goat cheese, dried cranberries, apples and pecans. I also had the tomato basil soup with lump crabmeat. There are many wonderful appetizer,... More

Absolutely outstanding lunch. We had take-out, so I can't review the actual location. Many people tell me it's small but lovely! I ordered the plantain burrito, $8. It was enormous; I ate half for lunch and brought home the rest for another meal! There's some kind of magical sauce involved, a tomatillo salsa for dipping, and plantain, beans, rice, and... More

This is an above-average café, with outside dining an option. The atmosphere is plain but functional. The calamari is an excellent, splittable appetizer. I opted for the Chilean sea bass and was not disappointed. I've had this fish many times at other restaurants; the preparation here, served atop creamy mashed potatoes and with grilled vegetables, was melt-in-your-mouth outstanding. (During our... More

My family was there recently for Easter brunch. The food was fresh, delicious and the menu choices were great. Service is good, pleasant staff. Fresh, healthy food. Menu is unique. The lemon artichoke bisque with lump crab is to die for. Chunks of lump crab on top of a light and lemony soup. I recently had the stuffed avocado with... More

Zinc cafe offers lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday and brunch, lunch and dinner on Sunday. The food is prepared fresh, the portions are plentiful and the prices reasonable. This BYO restaurant is small so there are times you may need to wait for an available table, but the wait is worth it.

Reservations recommended. Small open dining area. The menu has regular and seasonal items. Sunday brunch is a la carte and very good. I would recommend this Medford gem to anyone.

We have never had a bad meal or experience here. The people are always friendly and the service is quick and professional. I had the pork roll scramble - to try something different than my normal French toast. It was delicious and he potatoes were awesome, with just the right amount of peppers. My husband had the spicy sausage burrito... More
