Description: The Courier Post recently honored the Inn with three & a half stars...
The Courier Post recently honored the Inn with three & a half stars boasting, “Owner/chef Larry Boylan has put a kitchen full of thought into his waterside Inn at Sugar Hill.” That “thought” process has been ongoing for Boylan & his Inn for 22 years now, with no signs of letting up. “ I believe a good dining experience has the ability to not only nourish the body, but also nourish a persons’ soul… to be able to reach out & touch someone on that level is a high that gives me a lot of satisfaction & motivates me”, states Boylan. As an authentic Country Inn, the Inn at Sugar Hill has always strives to provide old world hospitality to both its’ dining & bed & breakfast guests. This philosophy has led to creating menus that reflect not only current culinary trends, but also respect the palates of those less adventurous. “Before I print a new menu I always look it over & say… what are my parents going to order & then… what are my teenage daughters going to like!

Dining on the River

This is an excellent restaurant that serves fine cousine and has outstanding service. The only drawback is that it is a bit pricey. Live music is available on certain nights and during the summer there is an outdoor grill next to the river. The Inn also has rooms available for rent. We hosted... read more

I love sitting out on one of the porches. You get a beautiful view of the River as well as intimate dining. The food is made from quality ingredients and service is good. I love it when my hubby and I can steal a moment to have dinner here.

Three friends joined me for dinner on a rainy Saturday night at 5pm. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and we enjoyed the view of the river. Service seemed to be good in the beginning of the meal, with our water glasses filled and bread placed on the table. But once our orders were taken the server repeatedly brought out... More

Enjoyed our anniversary dinner here as we do regularly since we we were married here. The food is consistently very flavorful and in ample portion. Our waiter was very attentive but didn't rush us through our meal. We will definitely return.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant on date night. We thoroughly enjoy the ambiance, dinners, cocktails, and service. We enjoy sitting at the bar or in the bar area. The views are amazing and the bartenders are always pleasant and friendly. The food is wonderful...my husband loves the steaks and I go for the seafood....always fresh. We love this... More

I ordered a simple cheeseburger. The meat was of tasteless poor quality. My husband ordered the fried oyster po-boy which he said was horrible and tasteless He surmised the oysters had been frozen. This was our fourth time there. Five years earlier we had a delightful dinner on the porch. The other 2 times we went for drinks down at... More

excellent food and service. The porch is air conditioned with a beautiful view but very small and tight. Also very cold. Better off eating inside the dining room.
