We recently visited the Tuckahoe Inn for dinner. Having been there before for dinner and for larger functions I had certain expectations which were not realized. We made reservations and were seated upon arrival. Our waitress who was very friendly and attentive advised us of the evenings "specials" and took our drink and appetizer orders. The artichoke/crab dip appetizer was... More

My mate and I dined on a stormy Tuesday evening. We shared 6 fried oysters and requested the jalapeño sauce that normally comes with their crab cakes. One had a few oyster fragments in it but otherwise they were delish! My red snapper with jumbo lump crabmeat and hubby's duck with cranberry glaze were both excellent. Drinks at $8 each... More

I recently went here while on vacation in Ocean City NJ after a friend recommended it - we had tried the Crab Trap at 5:30 on a Thursday night and there was an hour and a half wait and overall OC was pretty crowded so we drove over to the Tuckahoe and although it is a little hard to find... More

We liked it more in the past -- seems to be declining. Servers & Hosting Staff (tribe of 4-5) were attentive and personable. The Live Music is nice. My app. was baked Oysters, which were very small & had too many shell fragments. Worth about half the price you pay, if that. My date's entree was Scallops. She liked them... More

Went back to the Inn for the second time in two months, this time however at night to chill out during a rainy day and evening. We sat at the bar and ordered appetizers and drinks and listened to some quality music. The food was surprisingly good. The Calamari, Crab Cake sandwich and clams on a half shell were worth... More

For a restaurant with such potential for its pretty setting on the water, its food has been consistently lackluster and does not justify the high prices associated with it. The best part of our meal was the peanut butter pie which really was delicious! The bread and house salad could be much better, and my entree of red snapper was... More

Service was okay food was mediocre. Nothing special we will not be returning. Food was overpriced but the building and location were reallly cool as it sits right on the bay and the restaurant was built in 1736.

We haven't eaten here in years (since they took the Route 9 bridge out). We were seated promptly at a nice window seat, comfortable and warm atmosphere, good service, nice meal. Only negative was lack of parking. The place was hustling and bustling but no problems despite busyness. We'd definitely go back.

The Service was a bit slow, but the food was good. Good salad and bread. Had the Early Dinners, Crab cake's almost all Crab. Salmon Wellington, Tender Salmon, could have had a little more sauce. Early Dinners come with dessert, you can get one of 3 types of pie for an up charge of $2.00.

We had an early dinner at the Tuckahoe Inn on a Sunday night and were seated right away with a nice view of the bay. I remember eating here when I was a kid so I was looking forward to bringing my family for dinner and was not disappointed. We were a party of six ranging in age from 9... More
