This is great place to have quick lunch or nice dinner. Food is well prepared, tasty with a lot of flavor and definitely not your traditional meal. I was around with my 11 year old son for his game and found this place on yelp. The owner was very pleasant, open and made this quick lunch before the game very... More

Another very fine meal with super fresh food and such nice service. Lamb chops are great and lets not forget the bread! One of the best in Manalapan!

Would not recommend this place mainly because of VERY rude and unprofessional service. The owner (who apparently serving as a chief cook) and his wife, who is also serving as a waitress, seems to have attitude towards customers. Seems like they didn't get over 'USSR Style' customer service, where customers were treated like a garbage, We have been there 3... More

I eat here about twice a month and it never disappoints. When others in town are waiting in line for processed crap in chain restaurants, this little gem has the best food around. Looks like word is getting out as it's always packed when I go. Great home cooking. Red Bean Salad, Greek Salad and Pickled Veggies (with Pickled Watermelon)... More

This small place has some good tasting food, but wait until you get a bill. While most of the stuff seems moderately priced, your bill at the end comes to be a surprise and not a pleasant one. For some reason they added 20% service charge, even though we only had a dinner for 2. Mediocre service.

We enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch at Shirin Cafe. We sampled a variety of different Uzbek and Russian dishes; all were tasty. I recommend the samsa appetizers made from puff pastry, with either pumpkin or meat fillings, and the varenkis (perogis). The lamb shish kebab was very tasty and the Uzbek dish plov was enjoyable. The desserts are out of... More

My wife and I have been to this Uzbekistan/Russian restaurant located on Route 9 south many times. The food is really good and different from most restaurants. Start with the Rendezvous salad, good for sharing with another couple. Mastava is my favorite soup although my wife prefers either Shurpa, a simple vegetable soup with lamb or the Borsch, served hot... More

Unique food for the area. They didn't try to Americanize it so to speak. Basically every other customer outside of us there spoke Russian so it added to the ambiance and made me think this was authentic. Had a steak shish-kabob which was very good and split a greek salad which was awesome. Overall it is really good.
