El senor frog has to be one of the best mexican places around the manahawking area. i have personally been a loyal customer for a about 3 years. but i have noticed some of the unkind reviews it has gotten and i am pleased to inform that IT IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. Although it does have a new owner it... More

This place should be put out of business or run out of town. Horrible dining experience, food was ok at best, certainly nothing I'd crave after, the staff was more concerned with texting on their phones than waiting on us or even bringing the check, which after 10 minutes of waiting I had to get up and ask for. I... More

Southbound on the Parkway...looking for dinner on a Saturday evening. Found El Senor Frog on Tripadvisor and gave it a try. It was awesome! Don't expect the Tex-Mex you find in the big chain restaurants or the tomato and chili cooking found in the American Southwest. Like one of the other reviewers, we have had authentic Mexican food in the... More

If you like mexican food here you go! The salsa is different than most, and tasty. The dessert cake was really good. Not pricey and alot of food.

Very nice restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. I don't eat meat and they are very helpful to make any of their dishes vegetarian. Their mole sauce id the best I have ever had...in Mexico, Texas, or New Jersey. Chips are always fresh and the salsa is just right. The very best Tres Leches is what made us go back... More

My husband and I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants over the years, across the country and in Mexico itself, and this one ranks among the worst. Not that they don't try; the drinks were in huge glasses and you could tell that the cook/chef is trying hard to score points for creativity, but ultimately it comes down to the... More

Everything we've had there has been amazing. Al pastor tacos are great if you like pineapple and pork. The beans with the rice are the best I've had. Chicken mole also very good. We often order the horchata drink - a huge serving of sweet rice milk with cinnamon. Such a great complement to the food.

A basic 6 booth + kitchen restuarant next to a real Mexican Bodega (Luna) at the corner of Stafford and Rt 9 in Manahawkin. The open air kitchen makes mexican home cooking food, (not the chain store crap), check out the menu on their website. Normally both the restuarant and bodega are busy, nearly all the clientele are the local... More
