First time at Vivo's. Great food, pleasant staff! It was a quiet evening in the restaurant. The owner provided a pleasant atmosphere which included dimmed lights and soft music. It was very comfortable. The food was amazing!!!!

This is a great "Mom and Pop" restaurant serving great authentic fare. It is great for a romantic dinner or just a night out. The waiter was at times hard to understand due to his accent, but was very professional. The portions are very big! The only down side was the continuous smell of mildew.

As mentioned by another reviewer, this place definitely caters to locals; everyone in the restaurant knew each other and the manager was chummy with them all. So, to be fair, it seems like a great local hangout. However, if you don't live in Lyndhurst and you are looking for a decent meal, do not eat at this place. Upon arrival... More

The Pasta e Fagioli soup was awesome! The spinach ricotta raviolis and meatballs were so good. The breaded Tilapia with spinach was just okay. The bread was nice and hot. The... More

Being Italian myself, I enjoy Italian restaurants with a special interest and must confess I did not know what to expect when we made reservations at Vivo, but it turned out to be my ideal kind of Italian restaurant. The menu had a variety of traditional dishes, yet a compliment of specialties that all sounded delicious. I wish we could... More

Cuisine was outstanding. Homemade pasta, fresh made sauces. In addition to the regular menu, they had many unique specials which included options such as seafood, chicken, lamb etc. I had the special black linguine with shrimp and scallops fra diavlo. This was one of the best pasta dishes that I have ever eaten. Prices are on the high end, but... More
