Good Food, Service Not So Good....

We went to Joe's Crab Shack while we were out of town thinking it would be fun and yummy like the other ones we've enjoyed while traveling. There were only 3 cars in the parking lot and only 1 other couple in the restaurant at 3:00 pm. The food was good but the service was lacking both hospitality... read more

I really like the concept and food options, but it doesn't come close to other restaurants in the area. And, with the treacherous location (hard to get car out onto Route 1) why bother?

Ate here with friends on a Saturday night - ordered the lobsters and they were very good. Beer was good as well and the appetizers. Problem was the service - maybe they were short staffed but I don't think it's too much to ask for a plate! Our appetizer took so long to serve that they took it off the... More

We travel to Lawrenceville to see a surgeon about every 3-6 months. On our first visit, my daughter wanted to try Joe's. At first, we loved it. The food is very good, and the service is excellent. Second visit, still very good food and excellent service, but we started to notice that the place could use a good scrubbing. There... More

They have a large selection of seafood and they cook it properly. Food tasted fresh and of good quality. There is nothing Unique about it, but for the price - its very good! Will go back

One of my favs for seafood and sides. Sometimes I may need to send back an order because the food is not hot when sitting around for other orders at my table. I also let them know if my crab legs are smaller than the sixpence/weight I ordered, Overall, when they get it right, I really enjoy my meals. Cons:... More

My daughter and I stopped by for a bite to eat before heading out to an event near by. It was happy hour which lasted until 7 pm. It was busy but not crowded and we found seats at the bar right away. The $5 hurricane drinks were tasty and not watered down. Happy hour fried calamari $5 was crispy... More

First off..the food looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Rather a limp display of fries, ny crab legs were not garlic and herb, as the picture stated and my hush puppies were hard. On top of it. My bill came to 90.00 for 2 people. Never again!!! I will go back blue claw from now on.

This was our first visit to any Joes Crab Shank. We both had surf and turf sandwich with corn on the cob. Molly was our waitress. Best service ever. Food was great and the service was wonderful. We dine out quite a bit because of our jobs and when I say best sevice ever, that is what I mean. Great... More

My husband and I have been here before and really enjoyed it. We came back to celebrate some birthdays - table of 10 people. I think it was a bit too much for the waiter (he seemed new) but he held it together lol. we were there for a very long time (it wasn't busy), had many times where we... More
