We visited Crabs claw on the side (outdoor seating) earlier this week. We went early enough so that there was no wait, but the service was painfully slow. When you're dining with a toddler, and entrees take nearly 40 mins to come out after placing your order, it's extremely unsettling. Aside from that rough start, my husband ordered grouper that... Dinner for three. Our toddler requested crabs for dinner. We headed to the Crabs Claw Inn. Been coming here on and off since it opened in the late 1970s. Wait was not bad at prime time, about 20 minutes as promised. Service was friendly but slow due to being busy. Wait staff was certainly competent. I think they could space... More

Went last night for first time. In the area and decided to try - big mistake. Ordered the 1lb steamers for an appetizer. Cook must have had finger on scale - usually you would get a half/ full pot - there were 14 steamers on the plate for $15.95. Ordered the broiled seafood combo $27.95 - when the dinner roll... More

First time back since Sandy was Aug 12, arrived early about 4:30. Waiter was good, it took an awful long time to be served dinner, I'm pretty sure that was the kitchens problem. Had stuffed mushroom appetizer, they were mushrooms with so little stuffing, and had no flavor. I had the crab cakes, which had very little taste of crab.... More

Went last night to celebrate our anniversary. Service was excellent. It was early and they weren't full yet. My appetizer of roasted garlic, goat cheese and red peppers was great. But my dinner, the trlple crab pot was terrible. The crab was mushy and the shrimp and sausage were overdone. My husband had a broiled seafood platter that looked lovely but... More

The Crab's Claw Inn was very good overall in the past when we dined exclusively at dinner hour. We recently visited for lunch and agreed that it was average at best. There lie our so-so sad sandwiches, each lost and helplessly alone on its vast plate. Let's hope today's lunch was an anomaly. The crowd-pleasing, day-to-day menu covers a lot... More

The food was fantastic, but the host/hostess had quite an attitude when we asked a second time how much longer the wait would be. We were told 20 mins but after a half an hour we asked how much longer only to be given a serious attitude by a miserable middle-aged woman who clearly hates her job and other people.... More

Had to wait awhile for a table; restaurant cold; prices a bit on the high side. Parking can be a problem.
