This local restaurant and bar has been here for years. It serves as a great local hangout and provides evening entertainment during the week. The food choices are good, but could use more choices that are broiled or grilled rather than fired. They make a great burger!

piano music is fun but the food requires a strong stomach. Waitresses are OK and the bar staff has been there forever. If you like greasy food this is the place for you.

Granted it was a Saturday night, Aug 16th and busy. Waited about 40 minutes. Found it quite loud and fairly slow service. Ordered Broiled Sea Food Combo and after long wait was served the worst sea food combo ever. I must have been under a heat lamp for all the time I was waiting. The waitress asked it if was... More

Every year we come down to Lavallette to spend the Labor Day holiday. We have had iffy food during previous visits at the Crab's Claw so we weren't expecting anything special. We wound up dining upstairs in the WV bar since it was quieter then down stairs without the long wait. For appetizers we had the buffalo style shrimp and... More

We visited Crabs claw on the side (outdoor seating) earlier this week. We went early enough so that there was no wait, but the service was painfully slow. When you're dining with a toddler, and entrees take nearly 40 mins to come out after placing your order, it's extremely unsettling. Aside from that rough start, my husband ordered grouper that... Dinner for three. Our toddler requested crabs for dinner. We headed to the Crabs Claw Inn. Been coming here on and off since it opened in the late 1970s. Wait was not bad at prime time, about 20 minutes as promised. Service was friendly but slow due to being busy. Wait staff was certainly competent. I think they could space... More

Went last night for first time. In the area and decided to try - big mistake. Ordered the 1lb steamers for an appetizer. Cook must have had finger on scale - usually you would get a half/ full pot - there were 14 steamers on the plate for $15.95. Ordered the broiled seafood combo $27.95 - when the dinner roll... More

First time back since Sandy was Aug 12, arrived early about 4:30. Waiter was good, it took an awful long time to be served dinner, I'm pretty sure that was the kitchens problem. Had stuffed mushroom appetizer, they were mushrooms with so little stuffing, and had no flavor. I had the crab cakes, which had very little taste of crab.... More

Went last night to celebrate our anniversary. Service was excellent. It was early and they weren't full yet. My appetizer of roasted garlic, goat cheese and red peppers was great. But my dinner, the trlple crab pot was terrible. The crab was mushy and the shrimp and sausage were overdone. My husband had a broiled seafood platter that looked lovely but... More
