This restaurant is a hidden gem frequented by local's in the winter. I have not been here in the summer, but can only imagine how packed it must be. The waitstaff, including the bartenders are very friendly and do a great job at making people feel at home! The food is fabulous, seafood fresh, pasta dishes are very good. They... More

The Crab's Claw is one of a handful of restaurants that are open year round from South Seaside Park through Normandy Beach. When friends were here from out of town they wanted someplace for lunch at the beach. They had each heard of and requested the Crab's Claw so that's where we headed. I've eaten there before and know it... More

Always look foward to "the claw" for a good meal and always enjoy the welcome feel from the staff. You are always greeted at the bar with a big smile and great service{Bob,Stevie,or Bill}. The place gets busy during the season but is always a joy in the off season.

Good family restaurant for seafood. All of the fish and shellfish choices you would expect.fried or broiled. Great chowder. Lots of choices of beer. This place can get very busy in season. Service was attentive.

The staff makes you feel welcome, like family. Good pub food and a great selection of beers. I am a seafood lover and Crab Claw does a good job with all the dishes I enjoy.

My wife and I had a very good Sunday dinner at the Crab's Claw in Lavalette today. Our meals were tasty and generously proportioned and our server, who was new to the job, did a nice job. My clams, mussels and shrimp Fra Diavolo was tasty and my wife's broiled sea scallops were as well. We were surprised to find... More

Typical sit-down-and-eat, nothing-extraordinary food. With the exception of their signature Manhattan clam chowder, which is truly worth ordering, the rest of the food is just so-so. It's probably the fact that Crab's Claw is one of the few open-all-year locations on the Barnegat Peninsula that keeps it thriving. Unless you REALLY have no where else to go, save it for... More

Love the seafood and the specialty Martinis. Bands are usually very good, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

Good salad and burger for lunch served by a very enthusiastic waiter. The piano player was a pleasant touch. It's good to see a "Jersey" shore town getting back on its feet. And, with some good food. Go and support all the restoration efforts.
