The love of family, friends and great food is a tradition for the Egoavils.Having relocated to the United States from Peru in 1992, they sought the opportunities their new home offered. They have now realized their family dream of owning and operating their own restaurant. El Tule was previously the home of another restaurant offering Mexican fare. The Egoavil Family has infused the eatery with a vibe all its own. El-Tule’s Mexican-Latin fusion includes traditional Mexican offerings as well as the addition of Peruvian menu items. Peruvian food has been gaining momentum among foodies across the nation, and prior to El Tule was extremely hard to find in the Delaware Valley. El Tule offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Guests may bring their own wine or alcohol of choice. Our patio is dog friendly.Subpages

Excellent ceviche!

After having tried ceviche in several places, this truly makes amazing peruvian ceviche. A must try if visiting the area.

Love the food but hate the service. Thought we visited on an off day but next visit experienced the same Long, long wait. Hope they get it together. Food was really good so may try it again.

The haute cuisine of Latin America has always been from Peru, and El Tule more than meets the challenge that this poses. The Yuca with Huancaina sauce is absolutely divine. I had the best ceviche ever, even compared to my visits to Peru many years ago, and my husband loved the spicy shrimp. Even if you are watching calories, you... More

Love this restaurant. Peruvian food is so delicious and surprising with how many dishes have potatoes! The ceviche is always fresh as can be and immaculately prepared. Food is seasoned beautilfuuly and with a sure hand Try the Peruvian hot chocolate for dessert. Seriously, you will not believe it. The place is very, very small. So make reservations ahead! And... We ate lunch here on a Saturday and there was only one other couple in the place. Our waitress was very helpful with the menu selections. The guacamole was excellent. I had the 3 enchiladas with different sauces on each. Very flavorful.

While doing errands in town, we stopped off at El Tule based only on their attractive sign. We loved the variety of meals offered, not what I would normally cook at home. The food was delicious, make sure you treat yourself to a cup of the hot chocolate!

After a First Day hike in the area we were searching for something open on Jan 1st. After finding many places in the drive around Lambertville closed one more turn of the car put us on Main Street and I remembered seeing over the years a little Mexican place that I never went into as I thought it was just... The food is delicious and beautiful! The chips and salsas before the main course is different, flavorful (one is very jalapeño hot!) and fun. The server we had new everything about all dishes. She was delightful and helpful in making a great choice. It's so nice to get great service!

My husband and I had a delicious dinner here. We dined on a weeknight and the restaurant only had a few tables occupied. Service was excellent, knowledgable, quick. We enjoyed the chips salsa and guacamole while waiting for our meal. Both dinners were very good and the traditional Peruvian dessert was delicious.

If you are looking to be cautiously adventurous, try El Tule. Warm colors, Peruvian tapestries, Andean music and the welcoming smile of the owner greet you as you open the side door to this cozy space. Our party of five had a wonderful late lunch here one Sunday, sampling both Peruvian and Mexican dishes. Three delicious sauces of varying heat... More
