Description: The love of family, friends and great food is a tradition for the Egoavils.Having relocated to the United States from Peru in 1992, they sought the opportunities their new home offered. They have now realized their family dream of owning and operating their own restaurant. El Tule was previously the home of another restaurant offering Mexican fare. The Egoavil Family has infused the eatery with a vibe all its own. El-Tule’s Mexican-Latin fusion includes traditional Mexican offerings as well as the addition of Peruvian menu items. Peruvian food has been gaining momentum among foodies across the nation, and prior to El Tule was extremely hard to find in the Delaware Valley. El Tule offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Guests may bring their own wine or alcohol of choice. Our patio is dog friendly.Subpages

Greatly enjoyed the blend of two very different Latin American traditions. Their carapulcra, the special that day, was fantastic. It's a peanut and pork stew from Peru. It went very nicely with some Mexican agua de Jamaica to drink. Their ceviche is very authentic, served with Andean roasted corn.

Fantastic spot in the heart of a small town neighborhood. Excellent food quality with a fun mix of quality Mexican and Peruvian dishes. Very authentic, family owned. Service is very friendly and accommodating. A must try ... You'll want to come back!!

The food, the waitstaff, the atmosphere -- all excellent for this store-front type restaurant. Been there 3 times for lunch and no complaints.

I was in a party of four on a Wednesday night. The place was full (even with the outdoor dining it's tiny). We shared three apps... the tamale, a chicken quesadilla, and guacamole. They came out in that order. Not a big problem since our intent was to share so we passed each and ate it and then the next... More

When El Tule first opened in Lambertville, they provided delicious, interesting food with decent service at a good price. I enjoyed going there and often recommended them. The last time I went I wasn't quite as thrilled but thought it might have been an 'Off' Night for them. Today I went back for lunch and can honestly say I have... More

My wife had a reservation for 7/25/14 for a birthday celebration at 8:30. She made the reservation about two weeks prior and the manager, Jack Egoavil called her on 7/24/14 to confirm. When she arrived that night, you denied the reservation claiming to never have talked to her to confirm. Jack Egoavil went as far as covering up the reservation... More

Have been here a few times...keep taking new friends to try it...food is different but everything we've tried has been great! This is a very small restaurant so you must make a reservation ...unfortunate it is very noisy inside....outside seating is probably the best bet in good weather...don't forget your tequila as they will give you the mix to make...
