The love of family, friends and great food is a tradition for the Egoavils.Having relocated to the United States from Peru in 1992, they sought the opportunities their new home offered. They have now realized their family dream of owning and operating their own restaurant. El Tule was previously the home of another restaurant offering Mexican fare. The Egoavil Family has infused the eatery with a vibe all its own. El-Tule’s Mexican-Latin fusion includes traditional Mexican offerings as well as the addition of Peruvian menu items. Peruvian food has been gaining momentum among foodies across the nation, and prior to El Tule was extremely hard to find in the Delaware Valley. El Tule offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Guests may bring their own wine or alcohol of choice. Our patio is dog friendly.Subpages

Best food in the area!

My wife and I love El Tule!!! This restaurant is probably our favorite restaurant in the Lambertville / New Hope area (that is saying a lot, considering how many great places are around). We even held our wedding pre-rehearsal dinner here. So what to get? Just about anything is great. The... read more

This little family - Owned BYOB Restaurant is located on N Main St (rt 29) a couple of blocks off Bridge St. Quiet courtyard in the back. Terrific made from scratch Mexican food. But the Peruvian food is even better!

The food was great, It was a nice summer meal outdoors. The fajitas were delicious, as was the skirt steak. The kids quesadillas were really good too. Our server was great too.

This is a small restaurant on Main street that on weekend fills up and has lines to get in. We went during the week in the afternoon and we had the restaurant to ourselves. The food was good and full of flavor but we all thought the menu was hard to understand and even when we questioned the waitress we... More

Absolutely delicious, sumptuous, satisfying cuisine! We shared an appetizer of seafood sampler: 5 selections, each one amazing - the texture, flavors, spices (we asked for Peruvian hot!). The we shared tamale de pollo, and the superb Lomo Saltado Mar y Tierra - the surf and turf. I'm salivating remembering - that should be an indication of how delicious it was.... More

My wife and I tried this recommended Mexican/Peruvian restaurant for lunch and while there were some good points to our meal, there were also several issues. I ordered the pork in a pepper sauce, with yucca. The pork was tender and nicely flavored, but rather fatty. The yucca was fried (yucca fries) and seemed like a side rather than being... More

Peruvian food may sound boring, but El Tule proves it is just as interesting as any cuisine -- and they elevate it to a cuisine. If you are adventurous or already love good Mexican food, try it. Every meal I have had here has been wonderful, and very very filling. I cannot resist their amazing guacamole and then I have... More

Lovely shaded back area where we drank BYOB wine and beers. Appetizers (ceviche trio) were great for sharing and our entrees were delicious. Great friendly service!

An amazing, wonderful, experience! An adventure in dining, terrific food and reasonably priced. BYO– We will definitely return even though it's a long drive from our home in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
