The love of family, friends and great food is a tradition for the Egoavils.Having relocated to the United States from Peru in 1992, they sought the opportunities their new home offered. They have now realized their family dream of owning and operating their own restaurant. El Tule was previously the home of another restaurant offering Mexican fare. The Egoavil Family has infused the eatery with a vibe all its own. El-Tule’s Mexican-Latin fusion includes traditional Mexican offerings as well as the addition of Peruvian menu items. Peruvian food has been gaining momentum among foodies across the nation, and prior to El Tule was extremely hard to find in the Delaware Valley. El Tule offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Guests may bring their own wine or alcohol of choice. Our patio is dog friendly.Subpages

Had a fabulous meal in the outdoor patio, the sun conveniently setting so that most tables were in the shade by 6 PM. Our server, Cory, was extremely helpful, gracious and knowledgeable. He was obviously very familiar with each menu item and its preparation. The food was fresh and delicious and the portions were generous. We shared the shrimp ceviche... More

We went here because of the reviews from trip advisor. Trip advisor rarely steers us wrong. The service with Kate our waitress was prompt, helpful and very courteous. The food is a little on the pricey side. Skirt steak was $26 but the succulent flavor was sublime. Family friendly? YES! We sat outside. The weather was almost perfect which made... More

Thank you Trip Advisor for steering us to El Tule. I knew my fellow TA reviewers would not lead me astray. Excellent! Our server (lovely young girl) was right on the money with her recommendations. We had heard so much about the ceviche we wanted to try them all. She suggested the trilogy ceviche plate. Beautiful. Incredible flavors. Fresh. Again,... More

We were astounded at how good this place was. The ceviche was just like we have had in Peru. I had a grilled skirt steak that was well marinated and tender. The shrimps were spicy, but not too hot. Just great flavors. We will definitly come back here. Service was fine, even though it was crowded late on a Wednesday.... More

Love the food but hate the service. Thought we visited on an off day but next visit experienced the same Long, long wait. Hope they get it together. Food was really good so may try it again.

After having tried ceviche in several places, this truly makes amazing peruvian ceviche. A must try if visiting the area.

The haute cuisine of Latin America has always been from Peru, and El Tule more than meets the challenge that this poses. The Yuca with Huancaina sauce is absolutely divine. I had the best ceviche ever, even compared to my visits to Peru many years ago, and my husband loved the spicy shrimp. Even if you are watching calories, you... More

Love this restaurant. Peruvian food is so delicious and surprising with how many dishes have potatoes! The ceviche is always fresh as can be and immaculately prepared. Food is seasoned beautilfuuly and with a sure hand Try the Peruvian hot chocolate for dessert. Seriously, you will not believe it. The place is very, very small. So make reservations ahead! And... We ate lunch here on a Saturday and there was only one other couple in the place. Our waitress was very helpful with the menu selections. The guacamole was excellent. I had the 3 enchiladas with different sauces on each. Very flavorful.

While doing errands in town, we stopped off at El Tule based only on their attractive sign. We loved the variety of meals offered, not what I would normally cook at home. The food was delicious, make sure you treat yourself to a cup of the hot chocolate!
