Description: The love of family, friends and great food is a tradition for the Egoavils.Having relocated to the United States from Peru in 1992, they sought the opportunities their new home offered. They have now realized their family dream of owning and operating their own restaurant. El Tule was previously the home of another restaurant offering Mexican fare. The Egoavil Family has infused the eatery with a vibe all its own. El-Tule’s Mexican-Latin fusion includes traditional Mexican offerings as well as the addition of Peruvian menu items. Peruvian food has been gaining momentum among foodies across the nation, and prior to El Tule was extremely hard to find in the Delaware Valley. El Tule offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Guests may bring their own wine or alcohol of choice. Our patio is dog friendly.Subpages

Had lunch on 9/29/14. Outside was pretty busy so we sat inside. Only one other table occupied. Service was BAD. Took a long time to get menus, should have been the first sign there was a problem. We thought about leaving but did not. Got menus, ordered drinks ( BYOB). Ten minutes later placed our order, still no drinks. Got... More

This is a gem of a place in Lambertville with a unique Mexican and Peruvian selection of dishes. We tried the ceviche chifa (Chinese style) and mixto (various seafood). Wonderful!! Others had the Taco Salads which looked delicious. The nacho chip soup was a bit of a downer but that was the only minus. Sitting outside in the beautiful summer... More

Thought we would give this place a try with another couple. It was 5:30 on 8/23/14. We did not have a reservation and were told by someone franticly cleaning up tables. Oh you need a reservation. Only two couples were dining at the time and there were 20 empty tables? I thought the place was dirty and there was food... More

Dear patron: I am terribly sorry that you were not able to try our delicious food. 1) You came to the restaurant on a Saturday night without a reservation; therefore, we were not able to accommodate your party. The tables that you saw empty were taken by our 5:30 reservations. As much as i love taking walk ins, we were... More

Greatly enjoyed the blend of two very different Latin American traditions. Their carapulcra, the special that day, was fantastic. It's a peanut and pork stew from Peru. It went very nicely with some Mexican agua de Jamaica to drink. Their ceviche is very authentic, served with Andean roasted corn.

The food, the waitstaff, the atmosphere -- all excellent for this store-front type restaurant. Been there 3 times for lunch and no complaints.

I was in a party of four on a Wednesday night. The place was full (even with the outdoor dining it's tiny). We shared three apps... the tamale, a chicken quesadilla, and guacamole. They came out in that order. Not a big problem since our intent was to share so we passed each and ate it and then the next... More

When El Tule first opened in Lambertville, they provided delicious, interesting food with decent service at a good price. I enjoyed going there and often recommended them. The last time I went I wasn't quite as thrilled but thought it might have been an 'Off' Night for them. Today I went back for lunch and can honestly say I have... More
