Thanks Jack and team for another wonderful evening at El Tule. Our dinner was just delicious and we so appreciated your 'spot on' recommendations. We feel extremely fortunate to have you in the neighborhood. We'll be back!!

We have eaten at El Tule many times. Tonight ordered our usual, the Peruvian Sampler, Mixto ceviche, Parihuela soup; flan and tres leche for dessert. As usual, the food was fantastic. The last time we had ceviche like this was thirty years ago in Tampa, Florida but even that fond memory dims compared to the Mixto plate. Absolutely incredible. You...

We shared two Peruvian entrees--one ceviche palteado (a white fish cooked in lime--with much more) and one incredibly tender and delicious lamb dish with vegetables and rice. We also had two traditional ice cream desserts (the one inside the fried dough, the other atop it), which were very good too. Loved it altogether. We hardly looked at the Mexican entrees--but...

Being that El Tule is close to our home, we eat here fairly frequently. The restaurant is interesting in that they have 2 menus, one Mexican and the other Peruvian. While we've tried dishes from both menus, we tend to prefer the Mexican menu. We find the Peruvian dishes to be a bit bland and less interesting than their description...

This is a small restaurant so reservations for an evening meal are definitely recommended. During the warmer months or a night in which a heater is effective, there is outside dining which expands capacity. El Tule restaurant is BYOB.
I understand that all items on the menu whether you choose Mexican or Peruvian are all made with care and are...

Lambertville is graced with tons of great restaurants, and this is a great addition. We went on a Saturday night and took advantage of the Peruvian menu, which we all enjoyed. The sampler was a great introduction to the varied flavors of Peru. The cippino, which is offered as an appetizer but which was large enough for an entree for...

We brought back some expensive tequila from Mexico City and wanted to share it with friends. After doing some research on Tripadvisor, we found El Tule, a small, family-owned restaurant that promised to bring the old country recipes and authentic spices to New Jersey.
We were thrilled with our experience and the food. We felt genuinely welcomed by the staff;...

El Tule is not just a Mexican restaurant - it is Peruvian as well!! And both (separate menus are presented when a diner is seated) are excellent! What the place lacks in atmosphere (way too bright, and sparse in every respect!), it makes up in quality, fresh fare, and genuine hospitality. Clearly family run (we met the owner, his father...

My wife and I stumbled upon El Tule Mexican Restaurant on North Main Street in Lambertville, NJ, and it was a most fortunate discovery. Its unpretentious exterior opened up to a lovely patio and brightly colored interior. We ordered our meals after extensive consultations with the wait staff and kitchen. We had the Peruvian Sampler, Lomo Saltado, and dessert. Everything...
