Nice place in the neighborhood

This is probably the best place where to find seafood around Paulus Hook. However, the owners may be aware of this given the prices they charge for simple meals (and oysters...). To try, maybe once and then move on.

I have been here several times and what I like is they have an extensive beer menu and pretty good bartenders that could make an obscure drink I like the Vieux Carre, which is similar to a Manhattan. The food is generally good, but i just really like the interior and atmosphere.

I work a few blocks from this restaurant and its definitely a favorite among many folks in the firm. They have a great beer and wine selection and the food is excellent. I guess its modern American with quite a few comfort foods but done in very good way. They have certain dishes they only serve on certain days and... More

We were recommended the restaurant as had been working nearby. Great selection of craft beers and ales, super helpful bartender to help with the choice. After having quite a few at the bar, we went to eat. Chilli squid was superb, followed by a super steak. Washed down with some pretty good red wine. All round great experience with great... More

We are locals here and really love to come here often. It always feels quite special: chic and cozy, with great food and a nice service. If you need some other reasons to visit a place, read a story about the owners and how they built this place. It adds to the vibe. Come and enjoy and you will be... More

This is a great neighborhood place that was remodeled from an 1850s tavern. Lots of dark wood, exposed brick, a guitar player at dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed it on a rainy Monday night with a friend from JC who said it was her favorite restaurant in the area. As a Californian who grew up in greater NYC, I loved the... More

I have eaten lunch and dinner here several times and it is always consistently good. Very friendly staff and a real neat decor. Great neighborhood eating establishment with a few outdoor tables to add to the overall NYC feeling.

Lovely little restaurant with outdoor seating. Good menu variety and waitress was very friendly and helpful. Martini was delicious and very generous with the pour.
