wonderful and charming!!

The first impression was one of caution but don't let that stop you. Dining outside in warmer weather is definitely preferable to an inside table (stuffy, cramped, warm) but a few orders of mussels in different broths with a bottle of wine (BYOB) before any of the crepes or hanger steak, then... read more

This is a quaint little French restaurant in the ever improving jersey city neighborhood. The food for us was ok but we were a little spoiled as we had just returned from a trip to France. My duck did not inspire me in any was and it was a bit dry. But my wife's crepe was good. Perhaps our expectations... More

A very small but cozy place. Tables are very close to each other, so there is little to no privacy But the food and the warmth of the hosts are well worth the minor inconvenience.

Went with Jersey City "natives" who live a few blocks away. This is a friendly little BYOB bistro with a great vibe. Wonderful salmon crepes and a lentil salad. I'm not much of a meat eater, but my companions both had the pork loin (their favorite) and it was moist and flavorful. I thought the crème brûlée was a bit... More

The owners are wonderful it a cozy spot and BYOB. The escargot was awesome and their savory crepes are really good. It gets packed in there so you may want to try to make a reservation. Also its cash only.

This a small cozy place - tables right next to each other, no private conversations here! BYOB and cash only. We were graciously welcomed by the owners. The food was great. The waitress was perfect. We had escargot, seasoned perfectly and tender. There was an octopus special, delicious sauce. Warm fresh bread. Had a Moroccan dish with couscous, lamb sausage, and... More

You’ll feel instantly at home after receiving a warm and hearty welcome from the owners and staff. “It’s nice to see you again” was heard throughout the evening. Madame Claude Café is the perfect neighborhood retreat where you are encouraged to linger and enjoy the evening. It’s a small, intimate, unpretentious space with a stamped tin ceiling and only 14... My american Friends advice me to go to this place , and describe the food like amazing and a small place with french spirit . As I am French , I was very excited to go ... and very disappointed. I order mushroom stuffed in cream in 'appetizer' to share with my friend, the plate came with three poor mushroom,... More

This is an amazing place. I found it by chance while searching the internet for places to eat in Jersey City. The menu posted online looked promising, but I was still unsure of what our experience there would be like. That is, until we stepped in the place. It's a cute little French cafe, easy to miss if you don't... More

What more could you ask for on New Year's Eve - at $65 for a three course prix menu with live jazz music MC was a tasty bargain. We had the cured salmon, filet mignon, and flourless chocolate cake. All three were delicious. Although the restaurant seats no more than 26 people, the kitchen managed to serve everyone at a... More
