i had been a loyal customer of Amiya restaurant but lately have had continuous disappointing experience that I am forced to not return to the restaurant again. The buffet selection is now including items like egg curry and chicken curry that has more bones than chicken!! Also, in the 95 degree weather, the restaurant staff insisted I sit outside as... My Indian dining experiences from India always makes me excited when I go into an Indian restaurant even in another country. Here I would expect better ingredients and better hygiene.Checked OK! You have to be versed in Indian cuisine, if you eat the popular lunch buffet. Most of the dishes is pots and stews based in different color shades, orange, brown ...... More

I have been to this place couple of times. First time, I went for dinner and ordered main course. Food was terrible. Today, I went for Lunch buffet which was really good. Here, Amiya's staff needs to be educated about customer treatment. I went with my wife and when the check came, I saw 18% service charge in it for... More

If you like genuine Indian cuisine this buffet is an excellent choise and great value for money. We went for Sunday lunch and found the service excellent and the choice of dishes aromatic, tasty and beautifully presented

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. It had a dark and cozy atmosphere, nice decor. The staff was attentive. We ordered the appetizer sampler to start with and then the lamb tikka masals and the chicken curry for entrees. All the food tasted fresh and great! We had plenty of leftovers, which made for a great lunch the... More

Have been to quite few Indian restaurants in US now - can easily say this one is the best. The food is tasty and I would say to huge extent authentic . Its not spicy but still delicious. Ambiance is good and staff is prompt. Its Buffet system and at a very nominal price Overall worth having taste of Indian... More

Visited Amiya for a Lunch Buffet at around 1.30pm on Friday. The food was very nice and almost all the tables were occupied that day. For a USD 12 (plus taxes) it is a very good option in Jersey City.

I have not had the opportunity to have anything but lunch in this restaurant. However they have a great lunch buffet and very friendly staff. Positioned in the middle of the NJ Financial district it's a great place for a nice lunch.
