Great food, attentive staff

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. It had a dark and cozy atmosphere, nice decor. The staff was attentive. We ordered the appetizer sampler to start with and then the lamb tikka masals and the chicken curry for entrees. All the food tasted fresh and great! We had plenty of leftovers, which... read more

Have been to quite few Indian restaurants in US now - can easily say this one is the best. The food is tasty and I would say to huge extent authentic . Its not spicy but still delicious. Ambiance is good and staff is prompt. Its Buffet system and at a very nominal price Overall worth having taste of Indian... More

Visited Amiya for a Lunch Buffet at around 1.30pm on Friday. The food was very nice and almost all the tables were occupied that day. For a USD 12 (plus taxes) it is a very good option in Jersey City.

Location: Within easy distance from LRT and PATH Price: 3/5 ($) Ambience: 4/5. Has outdoor and indoor seating. Outdoor is quite nice in good weather. Service: 3/5. Mostly efficient, though not always. Cleanliness. 5/5. No negative observations. Taste: 3/5. Certain foods are good, Others mediocre. I have not had the opportunity to have anything but lunch in this restaurant. However they have a great lunch buffet and very friendly staff. Positioned in the middle of the NJ Financial district it's a great place for a nice lunch.

I like their dining outside concept, very good food, variety, my personal favorite there is Naanini, this place is easily accessible by light-rail or path and very convenient for the office complexes nearby.

This was one of the best tikka masala dishes I have had in a long time. Food was superbly spiced and the rice was to die for. An excellent choice if you are in the neighborhood

Amiya was one of my favorites when I was living in this area! Amiya paneer and naan never disappointed me, and their customer service was always impeccable!

I enjoyed my dinner here on a Saturday night in early June. The restaurant was fairly empty for a Saturday at dinner time, however. Despite the fact that there is a very nice dining patio, we chose to eat inside. The decor was nice, and I like the elaborate elephant candelabras. The price of the food was a little more... More

Food here is excellent and a bit pricey. Have only eaten at the restaurant twice, both in the summer when there is decent outdoor seating. Fast delivery if you order thru their website and you can enjoy it better at home.
