I almost wanted to give this place 5 stars, but the parathas here are not quite as good as the ones I've had in Delhi, so maybe 4.5 stars? That being said, I've never been to a more authentic Punjabi place in the US. Husband loves the rajma, something you rarely see on menus in the US. Our favorite parathas... More

Recently went to this Indian restaurant in New Jersey. Had a very very good experience. We landed in JFK at around 1.30 in the morning and were famished. Hence on our way home in New Port, we decided to stop by. We ordered the food over the phone and by the time we reached and sat down, we had the... More

I would rate the food as OK. We were in the mood for some parathas and hence headed out for this one as this is supposed to be a Paratha special place. However was not so impressed by it and would say its just Okay. I have had way better Parathas. We tried 5 different types of parathas and none... More

There is an excellent choice of parathas well made and at reasonable prices. Railway curries are also good. Their chai (indian tea) is also pretty good. Seating space is fine. Parking is always an issue at Newark Avenue but sometimes off street parking is available here. There is an inexpensive parking lot in the area.

Round the clock place, my wife keeps going back for their egg bhurji. I'd recommend their sheekh kebab. Good menu, reasonably priced, and good variety if you're into paranthas and north indian comfort food.

I was craving indian food but not crazy spicy. I noticed this restaurant because of the very large windows and decided to go in. I asked the waiter if there are mild entrees he said yes. So I gave it a chance. What I love about this place: 1-The waiters are very kind, observant, hospitable, very catering towards their customers.... More

I have been there few times now. I always thought I would give them good reviews. But not anymore. Food is not good. Yesterday I was there with my cousins and some food was left. I asked them to pack which they did. When I came back home I opened the boxes and very interesting thing happened. They packed the... More

They also do catering which i ordered for Christmas, got delicious food for very reasonable price and large portions. I am not a big fan of their ambience,... More

Will drive to Jersey city again to eat the mirchi paratha. We ordered 4 different parathas and all were very tasty. The biryani was amazing too. Only complaint....we had to wait too long for a table and finally got the food packed to go. Its open till late in the night which is a plus. It wasn't pricey at all... More
