I go here every time I visit Jersey City

Admittedly, there's not many places to go to in Jersey City. However this is a great place with great food and atmosphere. Steak seems to be there specialty, though the servings of pasta and other dishes are also very attractive. Service is usually pretty good, although in a big group recently... read more

This place is a nice restaurant, you can sit at the bar or have a nice table, the menu is very nice and the quality of the food was good, also we had good service here. Many people go to eat here fro my work even if they are not staying at the hotel.

Located in the Westin Newport hotel, it's a classy but cosy restaurant with a small but varied and tasty menu. Interesting flatbread and raw bar appetizer menu, and great burgers and sandwiches (try the "ultimate French dip sandwich"!). Main downside: the music, which at the time of our visit was a hysterical free jazz played at high volume. When we... More

Business colleagues (one of whom was staying in the Westin) and I stopped in the hotel to un-wind in the bar and discuss the meetings of the day. We decided to get something for dinner and the Fire and Oak was right there. BTW, I saw stacks of oak firewood in the lobby, but never saw an actual fire. The... More

This restaurant is part of the Weston and I did not expect it to be as good as it is. I have eaten there three times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the service excellent. I had the house chardonnay and it was great. The portions are generous and you will not walk away hungry.

If your in the area this place is a must stop they have daily specials, the fillet and truffle fries were a must order if you eat beef.

Great spot for a quick business lunch with customers. Everything from burgers to sushi. Not a big restaurant, but very quick service regardless of the choice, and a great atmosphere to have a business conversation.

Met up with a friend for lunch when this restaurant was very busy, and was not kept waiting more than 5 minutes before being shown to a table. Order taken relatively quickly and food delivered in good time. Excellent service throughout. Had roasted salmon (perfectly cooked) with asparagus and jacket potato, and colleague had a steak and fries with broccoli... More

Very friendly service, nice decor, warm mix of traditional and modern design which manages to create a welcoming atmosphere. Not a massive menu selection, but ample enough to provide a decent choice for most people. Decent sized portions, well made and presented, and pretty good in terms of quality. I ate there three times and was not disappointed. I would... More

Our family celebrated Mom's birthday on Jan 6 and we had a very enjoyable night. The staff are very attentive, helpful as well as cheerful. Our glasses were never half full. There is always someone to refill. The main course is excellent too. There were 18 of us and so we practically ordered a wide variety. Everyone savored the food.... More
