Always a favorite place to meet friends for dinner. The noise level is closer to the quiet side indoors with eclectic music in the background at an appropriate level. The outdoor section is available seasonally. They also have a party room downstairs for special occasions. All in all, a generally smaller bar, but the menu is never disappointing regardless of... Wife and I have been here before, but it has been a while. Decided to visit again this past Saturday. Comfortable, pleasant atmosphere. Good drinks, ample beer and wine menu. The charcuterie was ok, nothing to write home about. The braised chicken meatballs was delicious. My steak special was tender and tasty, done perfectly to medium rare. Wife loved her... More

I checked out Amelia's on TripAdvisor before visiting the area. I wasn't disappointed. Had their "fish & chips" with a serving of "beer battered onion rings". Very tasty and served piping hot. The bread delivered to the table was a pleasant surprise too - it came with a wooden pestle and mortar filled with garlic and chick peas - delicious.... More

Walked in and nice atmosphere. Sat down and waited for service. Slow and unattentive (e.g., fill water glasses, checking in on guests if need anything). Btw, the restaurant was not busy. While eating entrées, the service staff started clearing the bread plates - why? Brunch food is average, nothing exceptional and not flavorful. Disappointed given the positive reviews. Again, the... We've gone to Amelia's Bistro several times -- primarily for brunch, and a few times for dinner. The various dishes that we've tried have been consistently good. The only items we haven't yet tried are its desserts; we've always been too full after the main meal for dessert. Staff is friendly and attentive. This is a nice little neighborhood restaurant.

Amelia's offers wonderfully creative small plates, crostini, as well as, interesting bistro entrees. The wine list, while not large, matches the food well and even better is reasonably priced with many offered by the glass. (We had an Albarino from Rias Baixes (30) and an Oregon Pinot Noir (26).) Interesting cocktails were also available (Pomegranatini, Mango Mojito, and a good... More

We found Amelia's bistro through a recommendation, we usually are not big fans of Hoboken restaurant no offense, but to our amazement we found a gem. We have been dining there at least 10 times this last year and so far it has been a great experience, from the quality of the food presentation, bursting flavors, great service, and reasonable... The restaurant was recommended to us. We decided to try it for a combo Father's Day/birthday celebration. We were greeted at the bar by a wonderful bartender. Service with a smile! Our party of eight was seated for dinner. The server was friendly and very attentive. We ordered a variety of appetizers to pass around the table. One was just... More
