Good place

Nice location with many tables outside. The menu is quiet diverse with original entries. The food is quiet elaborate, better than average . We enjoyed the appetizer and entrees, but not the deserts which were just common.

I've been to Amelia's Bistro several times when I visited the area. Their selection of food is varied and always cooked to perfection. The Sunday Brunch menu is very good and has an emphasis on more health choices than I usually find at brunches. I ordered the wild mushroom, gruyère & caramelized onion omelet and it was delicious. When I... More

Last minute brunch at Amelia's. Used TA to find it and was not disappointed. Cute little place in the heart of the marina district in Jersey City. Great food and service. It was Easter Sunday and despite being packed, they were able to find us a table for two. There is outside seating, but it was just a bit too... More

I've been to Amelia's and ordered delivery many times. They have become a staple in our weekend dinner choices. The food is great and hearty and many of the selections are things I wish I could cook (or had the time) but don't. The menu is not overly fussy and are things you will recognize. My favorites are the Chicken... More

Always a favorite place to meet friends for dinner. The noise level is closer to the quiet side indoors with eclectic music in the background at an appropriate level. The outdoor section is available seasonally. They also have a party room downstairs for special occasions. All in all, a generally smaller bar, but the menu is never disappointing regardless of... Wife and I have been here before, but it has been a while. Decided to visit again this past Saturday. Comfortable, pleasant atmosphere. Good drinks, ample beer and wine menu. The charcuterie was ok, nothing to write home about. The braised chicken meatballs was delicious. My steak special was tender and tasty, done perfectly to medium rare. Wife loved her... More

I checked out Amelia's on TripAdvisor before visiting the area. I wasn't disappointed. Had their "fish & chips" with a serving of "beer battered onion rings". Very tasty and served piping hot. The bread delivered to the table was a pleasant surprise too - it came with a wooden pestle and mortar filled with garlic and chick peas - delicious.... More

Walked in and nice atmosphere. Sat down and waited for service. Slow and unattentive (e.g., fill water glasses, checking in on guests if need anything). Btw, the restaurant was not busy. While eating entrées, the service staff started clearing the bread plates - why? Brunch food is average, nothing exceptional and not flavorful. Disappointed given the positive reviews. Again, the...
