We came in on a recommendation from The Hyatt where we were staying. Not too far away in the taxi, and good food, good service ,nice olde world charm. Recommended .especially if staying on that side of the City.

I work in Jersey City and love steak. I was thrilled to find Edwards Steak House on Marin Blvd. The dining room is well appointed and has a subtle elegance to it. The service is very good and I was never in need of a new drink or extra napkin. Finally the food was terrific from their grilled slab bacon,...

My husband and I ordered steaks. He ordered the biggest steak. I ordered the filet. I have eaten melt in your mouth filets. This was not one of them. It was good, just not excellent. In this price range I expect excellent.
Was recommended by Hyatt Jersey City as the best steak house around. I would agree. You can eat at their bar if you are a couple but I would call ahead if you want a table on a weekend. The steaks were tender and ample, the veggies are extra and serve two. The wine list was pretty good. All in...

Went several months ago. Food was good, wait staff looked nervous, very very expensive. Saw several limos parked outside, taking people back to Manhattan after dining in charming Jersey City. Saw another review that said, "felt like I was in lower Manhattan, based on the atmosphere and all the financial types in there." And they thought it was a compliment.
Old school steak house that was excellent in every respect. Felt like I was in lower Manhattan when I walked in the door, based on the atmosphere and all the financial types in there. Steaks (one a NY and one a ribeye) were juicy and properly cooked, choice of sides was wide although each entree came with a small vegetable...

We had dinner and we were really surprise of the good quality and service of this restaurant. Located in historic city the restaurant is 15 min walk from Newport and marina but in our opinion is the best of Jersey city. We had raw fish and it was special , the filet mignon too , everything was so special !
Nothing special at all. This isn't Peter Luger's quality, but why do they charge similar prices? For a decent steak, drive into NYC.
We held the Rehearsal Dinner for 42 people for my son's wedding in a private room at Edward's, and it was absolutely perfect. Food delicious, staff attentive, every detail taken care of. From the salad through to the creme brûlée, the meal was a delight. Even the kids' meals were a cut above the norm - my husband wanted more...

This is our favorite place when we're in the mood for some good red meat! We were just there last Friday and both of us agreed our steaks were tender, juicy and cooked perfectly.
