Very good food, even by NYC standards. Cute place. Great bread basket. Must try in Jersey City. The salmon deviled eggs were so good.
An amazing spot for brunch in Jersey City. Fast and friendly service, Skinner's Loft can cure your weekend hangover or satisfy your craving for a delicious meal. They start you off with a bucket of homemade muffins which are addictive. All the meals are fresh and on the larger side, so you won't be leaving hungry.
If you ever wanted to have a local bar that reminded of your childhood show 'Cheers' then here it is. You will always know someone in here, the staff all know your name and the food is good. Now admit you are signing the 'Cheers' theme tune. You are, aren't you? :)
Skinner's Loft has good food. Reasonably Priced. Very comfortable place to eat. Not loud and you can have a conversation such as we did visiting a relative living in Jersey City. We walked to Skinner's Loft. The service was prompt and courteous. Food was good, filling, and hit the spot. We went for a late dinner and were very happy... More
Skinner's Loft is a quintessential brunch place. Three levels of seating in an brick walled eclectically decorated space including a roof option. The food is creative, but still grounded ... a wonderful bread basket of muffins, rolls, etc., omelets, chorizo hash, filet mignon sliders, lobster BLT, eggs benedict. The selection of beers and liquor is extensive and hip. The wine... More
Where do I start? ooh...how about the bread basket they'll bring you after you make the order. It's full of buttemilk biscuits, muffins etc. And the brunch itself isn't bad either, it's very tasty! Usully I go with omelette, but there are plenty of options to choose from their menu!
Need to read some books on service. How can you not make an exception for a pregnant customer. We wanted to add chicken to a salad ordered from one of my friends who was pregnant. We were 6 people and were told the chef would not allow that. We could not order any added chicken even if wr paid. Should... More
Love the atmosphere here! We were upstairs where things were beautifully decorated in this historic location. We split a burger (excellent) and also an heirloom-tomato-and-corn salad. And some fries. All delicious. Would recommend.
We enjoyed steak and other delights last night, July 7, at Skinner's Loft. My Cornish Game Hens in Bourbon sauce and eveyone's fries were totally awesome! Other pluses were the freely offered substitutes and reasonably priced wine list. The restaurant was a bit noisy, but otherwise the decor and ambiance wee just right for a night out with friends. The... More
