I've been to Skinner's Loft several times and have always been impressed with the food. The rooftop deck is also a tranquil urban oasis in the warmer months. Today I was especially impressed with the truffled lobster hash with poached eggs as part of their brunch menu. We wound up here since our go-to Jersey CIty brunch option, Madame Claude's... More

Great menu, great food and I love the atmosphere and decor of this restaurant. One of my favorites. Been here several times and always had a delicious meal. They also have a rooftop deck which is very cool on summer evenings.

Skinner's Loft is an unique and cozy restaurant where the food is quite good albeit limited. The prices are fair and their drink selection is both innovative and expansive. The atmosphere is very charming as it has the feel of an old industrial loft with interesting items that make up the decor. We were there for a birthday celebration and... More

The menu has something for everyone. This was my third visit and it was, like the other two visits, quite enjoyable. The space is quite tight but once you get settled you hardly notice it. The drinks are generous portions and so is the food, I enjoyed the stuffed pork chop and my companions also enjoyed their food.

Was traveling on business and was on my own for one night. Found this place on Trip Advisor and thought I would give it a go. I was not disappointed. Service was excellent and genuinely friendly. Food was very good. The menu was limited but had a good variety. I had the salmon for main and warm chocolate cake with... More

Had a late dinner here with my mom, sister, and cousin on my sister's recommendation. We sat upstairs amongst warm candlelight and tables set with unique and sometimes whimsical place settings. We all ordered filet mignon sliders, which were fantastic and came with crispy shoestring fries. We added various sides to try as well. All loved the tender Brussels sprouts... More

I may be biased as I live in Downtown JC however, this is one of the most consistent places to dine. It is casual, yet upscale. The food is delicious. It is always a pleasurable experience!

Get there early if you want the all you can eat steamed clams. We did not and got hamburgers which were quite good. The only downside is the bar closes rather early on weeknights (10PM?). Regardless good food.
