We moved to this area recently and were looking for a "special occasion" restaurant. We took a chance at Fiddleheads and boy did we hit the jackpot! Put simply, all four of us (fairly critical diners) were more than satisfied with our choices. For a relatively small restaurant the menu was surprisingly extensive and diverse (Fiddleheads is known for its... More

Fiddleheads has been one of our go-to restaurants for a decade or more. The food is consistently good, but a little pricey. BYOB, which helps. The waiters are attentive. The smoked tomato soup is a favorite! While the restaurant is small, I don't feel cramped. Artwork decorates the the walls, and soft music is played. If price is a concern,... More

Not to our liking, nothing special and too over priced for nothing special. Regular far you can get anywhere without those prices. Tables are small and crampy, service is fair to say the least. No not going back, the local diners are much better.

The food was good, but for the neighborhood and the decor, I was surprised at the high prices. If I were planning a fancy dinner out I wouldn't pick this restaurant.

My mother and I were looking for a restaurant in Jamesburg when I eyed Fiddleheads and pulled over. We checked out the menu and noticed the white cloths on the tables and decided to go in. What a delightful experience we had from start to finish. Our host seated us at a table for two near a window and in... More

Most recently had the lucky opportunity to dine here for lunch Easter weekend during a trip home to NJ. The staff and the management here are top notch! Friendly, attentive overall a great crew! The food was excellent! I love the atmosphere. I could see it as a place for a great romantic dinner. Many of my local family members... More

Your fine dining experience begins when you are welcomed in, like a friend. You are seated and provided with both regular and 'specials' menus; the regular menu has something for everyone and is always delicious; but the 'specials' are, quite often, just that - special. We have been dining here for years, and have NEVER been disappointed! Prices are reasonable... More

Fiddlehead's is a decent place. I had a steak that was okay, certainly not memorable. The sides were decent as well. The service was just okay. The room can be a bit loud when full but if you go early that can be avoided. Prices are reasonable but the fact it is a BYOB is a big redeeming factor.

Six of us had a delightful meal here, confirming our judgment - reached many years ago - that this is a first rate establishment. Set in a long narrow space that looks out on an iconic railroad track running down the middle of the town's main street, the location of Fiddleheads might sound less than wonderful. But the rails are... More
