Its been our favorite since its open, we used to go there before kids and now taking kids and they loved it too. Before they didn't had vegetarian Roti canai, but because of customers demand they have it now so don't miss that and Vegetables in curry sauce

Its a cozy little place in Hoboken with awesome Malaysian food. We ordered a veggie rice with ginger and eggs, chicken rendang and an appetizer. All of them were great. Highly recommend!

We ordered through Seamless and had the roti canai, chicken satay skewers, Hainanese chicken, and Indian mee goreng. The roti canai was already cold but I can imagine it tasting a lot better had we dined in. The chicken skewers were good and not dry. It came with this peanut dipping sauce but it was too peanutty for me. The... More

We go to Satay often and we absolutely love this place. Over the years we have taken family and friend and every single time they all leave happy and satisfied with Malasyan Cuisine. Love it!

Came here during lunch time of business hours. Small place and food came quick, so we were in and out business-lunch style. This was my first time eating Malaysian, and I thought it was all good, though I didn't have anything marked spicy. My husband, who has had Malaysian before, said that his spicy tofu dish was really good as... More

Lots of food and so good. I would definitely come back and order something with coconut and curry. The peanut sauce for the Satay is the best I've ever tried . One tip: ask for separate checks at the beginning of the meal, if needed. It will make it easier for the staff

My wife and I have eaten here occasionally for years, and have always found the food here tasty and inexpensive. Outside tables made it especially attractive for a recent early dinner, with some of the best people-watching around. The menu is very large, and with a lot of deep-fried options, which we avoid. We started with a pleasant "Achat": Malaysian-style... More

Looked like a promising place with all the good reviews. I ate before at Malaysian restaurants in DC and San Francisco and this one lags way behind them. Food felt as if it was cooked in a rush with pre-made sauces. Chicken has too much corn starch and meaty smell. Happens usually with reheated cooked chicken. Wish I enjoyed my... More

Fantastic food that will no doubt appeal to those who seek authenticity rather than food that is doctored for the American appeal. Lunch specials are available all-week long, giving food at Satay a tremendous bang for the buck. I would highly recommend trying out the Malaysian Fried Noodles, in addition to the Basil Fried Rice.
