I should have reviewed Amanda's several years ago when we showed up for early dinner several times a month when my husband was a professor at Stevens. There is no better value anyplace around. Where else can you have white table cloth service and delicious food for $16pp. The portions are totally adequate; none of us need more food. Get... More

We enjoyed a terrific mid-week dinner at Amanda's. We did not have reservations and were pleased to be seated immediately at around 6:30PM. By the time we left, our dining room was full. Service was impeccable. I had the diver sea scallops with succotash. It was perfectly prepared and the succotash was made with fresh veggies. My husband had the... More

We were visiting our son in Hoboken and found Amanda’s on trip advisor. When I suggested we go there, he told me it was the best restaurant in town and he and his wife’s special favorite. We went, had a terrific dinner, and a wonderful evening. No need to write another rave review, the first hundred are spot on. Enjoy!!!

Setup in an older home, Amanda's tables are disbursed throughout different rooms giving it a special cozy ambiance. It is very quaint and offers a pleasant dining experience for small groups or couples. The menu, while not large, offers something for any adult. My 17 year old son was looking for a simple pasta dish and they made it for... More

I work at Muller Insurance, which is a few doors down from Amanda's on Washington Street in Hoboken. I have to say that the quality of the food at Amanda's is great and the owners Eugene and Joyce Flynn, run a classy business. I highly recommend Amanda's. Parking is an issue in Hoboken, but you can get a spot at... More

Recommend that you make a reservation. This feels like you are enjoying lunch at someone's home, but the place is much larger than first appears. Can accommodate groups in private rooms. Food was good, but I felt the atmosphere was the reason to visit.

I had read several reviews and almost decided not to go. Most reviews found the prices a little stiff. I found them to be about what all "tourists" expect for real "chef" cooked food. My wife and I both had the pan baked Cod. It was wonderful. We travel to cape Cod often and have had many a Codfish dinner... More

I went here for brunch with some family members. We were seated promptly and ordered mimosas and bloody mary's. The bloody was just ok, but the food is really what you want to go here for anyway. All of our dishes were amazing. I got a fried egg over greens, and it was exceptional. The other dishes were equally great.... More

Amanda is a very intimate space that happens to serve wonderful food. If it weren't for the other diners, you would think you were dining in someone's upscale townhouse. It certainly would be a great place to start off a romantic evening. But the food is so good, you would not want to save it for just special occasions.

We've been going to Amanda's for years. It was the first real foodie restaurant in Hoboken. Though it now has some competition, it has retained it's reputation for excellent food and service.
