Good pastries but no TV stars.

We dropped in one morning hoping to catch a glimpse of the dudes from the show. We only saw 1 guy. After some confusion. (Our order had been lost, took several minutes to get it straightened out) We all got a cup cake. Mine was chocolate. It was good but not the best I've ever had. If you get a... read more

Honestly, the lobster tail I got was average. It wasn't anything special. I had high expectations going in, and the real thing just didn't meet those expectations.

Cannoli super fresh, loved it. And the anise biscotti are very good too. It is fun to see all the tourists taking pics

Visited the NYC location, the line looked daunting but it really did not take too long, was kind of fun watching people marvel at the desserts. This was the best cheesecake I have had in NYC. Recommend it as a spot to stop off at if in the area.

Everything in this bakery is average except the marzipam fruits they make aroun autumn and Christmas time. They are spectacular in look and taste. I do not buy anything else there as I have in the past and it is just average. Nothing to write home about. When I last visited, they were not filming Cake Boss and it was... More

I was in NJ for a business trip and mentioned to my daughter that I wasn't far from Hoboken. She had been watching the Cake Boss series and was thrilled for me (I wasn't nearly as intrigued by the whole thing). Nonetheless, I went by to let her experience it all vicariously. I arrived early in the day and the... More

Major road trip and swung through Hoboken as a surprise for the family after watching Cake Boss. Carlos Bakery was great. Be prepared to wait in line but we were blessed by a leaving couple that couldnt wait any longer and handed us their 'take a ticket' number. Staff was great serves us pleasantly. Be prepared to wait in line... More

All the food was good (cannoli's, pastries, cupcakes) when we visited June 2015. I thought it was a little on the expensive side. We were fortunate enough to get there at the right time - wait about 15-20 min to get in and out. But the lines form quickly. As i mentioned the food was good, not great. I would... More

Everything I sampled from Carlo's was delicious as expected for a sweets bake shop. Just a word of advice though, many of the pastries like the canoli don't travel too well and get soggy by the next day so its better to eat those on the spot. Anyone with a sweet tooth would enjoy a visit to Carlo's.

We visited with two granddaughters (ages 8 & 9) and had a great experience. The bakery was very tasty...pricey but was very expected. Then Joey was there for a photo...they were all smiles for that! Then in walked Buddy! That brought squeals of excitement! Buddy and Joey were so willing to pose and chat for a few minutes. The person... More
