I live in Hoboken and I like Carlo's Bakery. I would not stand in line for hours like I see all the tourists doing, Especially in the Summer heat! Here is a tip. Call ahead or order on line for a pick-up a few days before you are going. You get to beat the line. You still have to wait... More

Carlo's Bakery is a waste of time for mediocre goods. Stand in the hot sun for hours then deal with rude people who want to get you out as soon as possible. The cakes etc. are very unmemorable. This is why the locals don't shop here. Cake Boss does have good marketing skills, the only reason unwary tourists flock to... More

Look the place is on TV, so obviously if you are a fan of the show you should go. Just be prepared to wait on a long line that stretches onto OTHER blocks. When you get inside you get to see everyone you see on the show (I am guessing here as I am not a regular of either the... More

I don't know what's the long line about to get into this bakery. The cakes are nicely decorated but the taste is so so. I could buy same or even better tasting cake than Carlo's in any bakery that's not highly rated. The only difference is the price tag. You pay too much money on any thing you buy at... More

As a fan of Cake Boss I just had to go, we went over to Hoboken on the ferry but don't go Sunday or it is quite a long walk. Go weekdays from World trade centre area it is only a short walk then once you get there. We queued for about 20 mins but it was a longer wait... More

Yes the lines are long. Yes the wait is long, 2+ hours, however if you are a fan of the show it is fun to see the shop. I have been there twice with my teenage daughters. We waited in line and once we got in, both times, the.store was over crowded. My girls were excited to see the store. We... More

We went to get a birthday cake for our son who was turning 11. We went on his bday. Buddys sister was very friendly and talkative. We were able to get waited on right away cause we ordered in advance. It was an exciting experience if you watch the show cake boss. The cake was amazing with french vanilla filling.... More

We were visiting family in NJ this week while our children are on spring break and decided to stop by Carlo's Bakery. Our children are fans of Cake Boss show and thought it would be an experience. Luckily, no long lines. We all got different treats: tiramisu, cookies, and cupcakes. It was an expensive experience! Taste? Average to tasteless.... We... More

Have wanted to do this for years. Finally had a chance to see today when leaving NYC. Line wasn't long just inside but still took 75 minutes to be waited upon. Ordered a variety of items cookies, brownie, lobster tail, cannoli, and mini cake. Mini coconut macaroon was delicious. Other treats for next several days. The 2 pound bag of... More
