We had high hopes for Carlos Bakery and were looking forward to visiting. We had to wait to wait in line outside before being let in. We then got in and were told to take a ticket and there was no queuing system, but instead they would call our ticket. The time it took to get served was absolutely ridiculous.... More

As a big fan of the TV show, my boyfriend decided to surprise me with a custom-made Cake Boss cake. He didn't wouldn't tell me the cost of it, but he assured it me it was expensive. Plus, we live in London, England, so he had to make a few long-distance calls to pull this off. Overall the whole process... More

While the inside of the shop is quite small, the delicacies that await you are worth the trip. We went on a late Thursday afternoon / early evening, and found the line to be about three people long. That's right; no two hour wait and plenty of attentive staff to fill the orders quickly. We had ordered online in fear... More

Well, one would expect the best out of such a famous place but unfortunately it seems as if they´ve left it aside a bit giving more importance to their newer store. I went to Carlo´s twice because it was close to where I was staying and I wanted to give them a second chance. Day 1: Monday, September 15th: Cons:... More

We had the luxury of having a Hoboken resident with us, so we did not wait in line. Too crowded, too expensive, too hyped. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but I think you can find better sweets at another local bakery or in the city. Worth walking past to say you saw it, but keep walking.

But not worth waiting in line for hours, it gets the popularity because of the show, don't get me wrong everything is made well and taste good but one can go to any other bakery that is as good and won't have to wait in line. The Carlos at port authority on 40 th and 8 th ave has no... More

It's true... people eat with their eyes. Their cakes are works of art. Sadly, their staple items (cookies, cupcakes, and pastries) lack conviction for repeat visits. If it wasn't for their TV reality show, this place would have been small and the quality of their offerings would be consistently high. I've tasted the decline on their quality in just 3... More

I realize this is a tourist trap because A) its a bakery and B) whats the off chance that we will actually see Buddy and his family. We went cause we had time to kill and figured what the hey the line wasn't down the block. We waited 1/2 hour outside the store and after they stuffed us into the... More

Ordered two lg cannolis, returned back to our hotel only to open a box filled with 2 cupcakes. What a disappointing experience and a waste of time.

Well, what can I say. Wait in line for some cupcakes that tasted as though they were purchased at the local Publix or Winn Dixie. Nothing to RAVE about here. A long long line for a mediocre product. FOR SHAME Buddy! FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!
