I love the show so just had to go to the bakery . When my family and I went to Nj , this was our first stop. Although there is a wait, it's worth it. The cupcakes , cannolis and more are to die for ! Can't wait to revist , idk when but will do !

After 90 min wait I expected to enter in the pastry reign of lusciousness and... it wasn't that big thing. The shop is very small and even you enter in groups, you don't have the chance to really appreciate what they offer because it's too crowded. I live in Italy and I wanted to try their "famous" Cannoli. Let me... More

Buddy might be making money but he is not making friends. Start with a 45 minute wait in front of the drug store a block down from Carlo's than get a number and move up to Carlo's and wait another 45 minutes, than go inside to get bumped, pushed, blocked from seeing the choices and wait another 30 minutes to... We were lucky to find a close spot and since it was Sunday it was free, good thing since the line was 2 hours long and the parking was for 2 hours M-Sat. DH decided to wait since we used to enjoy watching the show. You wait in a long line with a deli ticket to enter the bakery. Once... More

We went after watching the show and in the hope it would be better than their Cafe in NYC. So we were extremely lucky to find a parking space so close. We noticed before we'd even left the car that there was a huge line outside CVS. We wandered across to the Bakery which looks nice on the outside. We... More

Of course I watch Cake Boss & love it. I guess the saying tv shows are just that...a show not completely real. I got in my mind that everything on Cake Boss is to die for tasting. I live in Cleveland TN & took a trip up North & had to visit Carlo's Bakery. I ordered 7 different items and... More

Here's a good example of how a mediocre place with the same quality bakery you'll find at hundreds of other Italian bakeries is elevated well beyond its substance by virtue of a television show. The family owners here are featured on a show called "Cake Boss", as such, it has become a bit of a pilgrimage location for people less... More

My friend and I, along with her family, waited for about two hours on a Sunday afternoon to get into the bakery. Once inside, the tiny space was crammed with people, but the staff were friendly and seemed pretty efficient. They even handed out free samples at one point. Being a vegan, I didn't try anything. My friend's family, however,... More

We waited 1.5 hours to buy pastries. Not too smart. Was it worth the wait. No. I did it for my daughter and experience but need not do it again. Pastries were OK. My hometown bakery is better.

It's a little out the way of the regular tourist route, however I think that's what makes Hoboken quite nice. Good train service running from Penn Station and Carlo's isn't too far from Hoboken Station. Be prepared to wait though, we were queuing for about an hour (inside and out) on a week day. Their food is great though, and... More
