Chef Anthony Pino (he owns another great restaurant in town as well) offers a variety of small platters and an excellent wine list.
I have lived in Hoboken for many years and was happy to see a wine bar open back in 2009. Since then there really has not been anything comparable in town. Bin 14 has an amazing wine list and is a friendly spot to go whether solo or with a group. The food is delicious too. I recommend the meatballs,... More
The wine is certainly the standout at this small plates-centered wine bar. I've had pizza, which I really liked, fried squid which was decent, and a couple of pasta dishes which we enjoyed, but the main attraction is the extensive wine list. Staff has listened to my input and made thoughtful suggestions. Plenty of interesting wines by the glass.
It was my second time to Bin 14 but the first in a few years. We enjoyed the small plates and the wine selection very much. We dined with 6 and ordered a variety of things on the menu. Highlights included the cured meat plate, pork belly, and pizza.
Who could ask for more! Their food has improved with their new chef and the small plates are really quite good. I like the light grilled octopus salad and appreciate their gluten free pizza/flat bread options. Their wine list can get overwhelming so ask the bartender to help you steer in right direction with your likes/dislikes.
This is my favorite restaurant in Hoboken. It is indeed a wine bar (serving beer, spirits too!) and the staff is knowledgeable and happy to help with recommendations. They also will let you try a small sample of the wine before they pour you a full glass, which is great. The food is mostly small plates -- salads, brushettas, pizzas... More
Nice selections of wine, knowledgable and friendly staff. Shared a cheese plate and beet salad. Back patio quaint and intimate. Good place for a date.
The portions are small and pricey, but the dishes we tried were bursting with flavor. I recommend the mushroom bruschetta and the salmon. We passed on wine to keep the bill down.
Been here many times- great place to catch up with the girls and romantic setting with the husband. Don't get me wrong- love kids but was appalled when a several families walked in on a friday evening asking for seating. Seriously? It's a wine bar- get a baby-sitter and have a date night out with your significant other. Portions are... More
