Hoboken has a lot of great delis, and Lisa's is no exception. It definitely IS an Italian Deli (you hear the music, see the folks, and you know that everything is authentic). The place has great Mutz and fantastic sandwiches. The best part is that you can order your food to be delivered (though the wait time is a while).

This place has amazing fresh Mutz that you can buy per pound or on a sandwich. We have also gotten catering by them before and their assorted sandwiches and hot trays taste very fresh and homemade. The italian sub is my favorite and I have not come accross a better one yet.

I walked there from the W Hotel and it was a lovely walk down Washington to 9th and up to Park. Great prices and good food. Ordered the San Francisco chicken sub and rice pudding. Way more food than one person can eat (the sub comes on a big roll, and you don't really need all that bread; I ate... More

I've ordered twice from here in the last 6 months, and both times the food was excellent. However, the second time, one of our subs was incorrect (the outside writing on package was correct name of sub, so it must have been confusion when the sub was actually being made). I tried a dozen times to call to rectify situation... More

Lisa's has the best italian sub & "mutz" in Hoboken (and probably all of NJ/NY), if you can take their slow service and indifference towards customer service (will leave you hanging on the phone forever, and they really don't care). I keep coming back for the food tho...

I have never been here in person. I have lived in Hoboken for the past 4 years and will order from here occasionally. If you are ordering delivery you must adhere to standard delivery rules... As in don't order something that will be bad for delivery ex: something that will get soggy from being steamed while being delivered, or something... More

Been there forever. They have a nice selection of hot cold items. Known for their mutz. Get for takeout as seating is limited.

Chef Tony welcomed us just like we were coming into his mama's kitchen. Tony gave us the history of Lisa's and showed us how to make his delicious homemade fresh mozzarella. The freshly made sandwiches were delicious. The fresh mozzarella is the best I've ever tasted.

Did a bit of research so took the time and trouble to hunt down this great deli. Walked in the rain for at least 30 minutes to get there. However it was worth it. Mozzarella will spoil you for life as it is freshly made on the premises, had stuffed rice balls, and Italian meatball sandwich as well. All of... More

Tried many mutz's in town and Lisa's still comes on top. Never dined outside here but have gotten taken out and always good.
