Love this place for Sunday Brunch. Spicy bloody Mary's, great bartenders, great food, and the best pome fritz anywhere.

Excellent cuisine and great atmosphere for a bar or dinner scene. Best to make reservations because of its popularity. Can be very, very noisy, so don't expect to have a soul-searching conversation. The food is excellent and creatively prepared. Great for a date or friends night out.

We have been to the Elysian on a number of occasions for brunch, lunch and dinner. Never been disappointed the service has been friendly and efficient and the food very good.

I can never pass up the Monday night two-for-one bar menu special. Especially like the fish tacos and the steak sandwich. When it's made right (not always the case) the mac and cheese with lardon is great. Nice ambience, good beer and wine menu. And great to sit outside when the weather is nice.

A wonderful cafe for weekend brunch in a charming but crowded setting. Great pancakes & egg dishes, thick sliced bacon was cooked perfectly. Coffee was okay but Mimosa was perfection. Staff was very accommodating & super-kind, kudos to management for hiring good people & training them well.

Nice menu with plenty of outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and helpful, Menu does rotate to keep you interested. Reasonably priced. Great for a date or hang at the bar and watch the local game.

Went on a Saturday evening after walking around the neighborhood. Dinner is not served until 5:00 pm, so unless you are there for the brunch, no entry till 5:00PM. Nice table for two in the bar area and it was a delight to have the choice of either the bar menu or the regular menu. The back room is mostly... More

Looks like an old speakeasy. Was an old waterfront bar back in the day! Food is okay, But the atmosphere is classic Hoboken

the decor is really interesting and old fashioned. The food is pretty good too and they have an extensive bar including absinthe.

When I moved to Hoboken in 1978, the Elysian was a shipyard worker's bar serving 25 cent drafts and although the ceiling and walls were full of carved plaster decoration, it was in need of repair. It is now an elegant bistro serving great food in rooms of restored 19th century carved plaster. Even if you just stop in for... More
