very good food and nice atmosphere!

Only dined once but if I lived there, I'd dine there often! the Lobster Roll was very good! Many good options on the menu. If I'm ever back in the area, I will make it a point to go again!

I enjoyed the outside seating and flowers all around. The food was good and mid priced. I have had their chicken and fries and it was very tasty.

One of our relatives arranged for a post-wedding family/friends luncheon at this charming cafe. Before lunch as folks were milling around and mingling, a choice of brunch type cocktails were offered (Bloody Mary's, Screwdrivers, Mimosa's etc) were offered. The drinks were fine and the service was excellent. Drinks came quickly after ordered and the staff were quite sure of who... More

Two visits here have not disappointed. Getting its name from Elysian Field (first baseball field in US) and entering a lovely tin-stamped cielinged dining room and bar makes you feel like you have stepped back in time, just a little. Food and service are top-notch. And at our lunch time meals there were also families with children, a common sight... More

I used to revel in the fact that there was one place in town that made good, French onion soup. I can't really say that anymore with all honesty. It was watered down on one Sunday night after Thanksgiving. I could not even eat it. The fried calamari still rocks. The burgers are above average. And the truffle fries are... More

Had a wonderful time here They don't take reservations unless more than 6, but seated pretty quickly. Great 'steak frittes'. Very noisy - great to know everyone's having a good time but still - very noisy!

Prepare for a wait on Sunday but this place gets packed for a reason. Can't go wrong with any dish on the menu.

The food is tasty and fills the need when you are in the mood comfort food and the classic cafe experience. Their prices are reasonable and the service is prompt. And for all you movie fans out there, in the back room off the bar area is where a scene from the movie "Sleepers," was filmed starring Kevin Bacon, Brad... More

If you want a little France in Hoboken, Elysian may fit the venue. We would go here after tennis and just relax and watch the passer-by. The sea food dishes like the lobster bisque and escargot are good. The sandwiches are also good. The food is light and no greasy. The waiters/waitresses are dressed in Parisan black and white. Yup,... More

Washington Street in Hoboken is a fantastic place to spend a Saturday strolling around. You cannot beat the Elysian Café for brunch. Excellent food, fairly priced libations and first class service. Things can get very busy but it's worth the wait if there's a big crowd. The only downside is parking ... but that's a problem no matter where you... More
